Gran Turismo 5

This game was launched during the transition period between PS2 and PS3, so it was marred with bugs. Although it boasted stunning graphics and physics, it had dismal car interiors and a point based progression.

GT Sport was intended to be a multiplayer game first, so it didn't feature a huge roster of cars. Turns out, fans wanted more intensive single player mode and so it stays as one of the more polarising games in the franchise.

Gran Turismo

This game came out in 1997 and it still holds up not because its graphics look good, but because of the fun gameplay and nostalgic experiences.

Gran Turismo 2

This game built on the formula of the original Gran Turismo, but made it a whole lot better with more cars and more game modes.

Gran Turismo 6

While GT 5 stumbled to get going, GT 6 was a fully polished product and looks way too good for a PS3 game.

Gran Turismo 3

This one is undeniably one of the best racing games of all time. The car selection, progression system, physics and the overall refinement of the game was remarkable.

This game was packed to its gills with a huge number of cars and tracks, but also had phenomenal handling models and was a total blast to play.
