Huawei India has teased that it could be launching its new smartwatch - Watch GT - in India soon. It's a short teaser video that Huawei India's official account posted on Twitter along with a caption that talks about a battery life that can keep up with your activities. The Watch GT claims 14 days of battery life, comes with real-time heart rate monitoring feature, and is water-resistant, so it seems to fit the bill. It was officially launched along with the Mate 20 series of phones in October last year.
The tweet comes with an attached video clip that's just ambiguous shots of having an active work/ family lifestyle. Along with the previously mentioned caption it comes with a suggestive hashtag 'ComingSoon' which may indicate the the device may launch sometime this month itself.
Huawei followed this up with another recent tweet that says "Which gadget of yours doesn't last for 2 weeks on a single charge", which presumably is about the Watch GT's two-week battery life.
To recall, the Huawei Watch GT comes with a round dial that's slim at just 10.6mm thickness. It has a 1.39-inch 454x454 pixel OLED precise touch screen display with 326ppi pixel density. Huawei claims that the battery life can last up to 30 days if the heart rate monitoring is off and the watch is used only for receiving messages and calls. If the GPS, heart-rate monitoring, and exercise monitoring are kept on continuously, the smartwatch will last for 22 hours.
With the teasers coming in at a regular pace, it shouldn't be long before Huawei announces the official India launch date for the Watch GT.
