Vivo brought the Vivo U10 in India in late September to compete with Xiaomi and Realme at the budget end of the market. The Vivo U10 is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor as the Redmi Note 8 and the Realme 5. With the competition churning out phones at such a high rate, it was time for Vivo to push out an update, and now it has, with the Vivo U20. The naming clearly suggests that this is a higher-end model than the Vivo U10, and we are expecting this smartphone to keep the competition in the market alive.

Vivo U20 Summary

Vivo U20 smartphone was launched on 22nd November 2019. The phone comes with a 6.53-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels.

Vivo U20 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM.

The Vivo U20 runs Android 9 and is powered by a 5000mAh non-removable battery. The Vivo U20 supports proprietary fast charging.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Vivo U20 on the rear packs a 16-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.78 aperture; a second 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a third 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It sports a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Vivo U20 runs Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9 and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB). The Vivo U20 is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.

Connectivity options on the Vivo U20 include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB OTG, FM radio, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The Vivo U20 supports face unlock.

The Vivo U20 measures 162.15 x 76.47 x 8.89mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 193.00 grams. It was launched in Blaze Blue and Racing Black colours. It bears a plastic body.
