Sony until now in the ongoing IFA 2015 trade show has shown off the world's first 4K resolution Xperia Z5 Premium smartphone along with Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact. The company is however, not yet done as it has launched new Walkman models, H.ear headphones, a 4K Android TV and a portable short throw projector as well.

The Japanese tech firm at the onset of IFA 2015 launched two Walkmans, the NW-A20 and NW-ZX100HN. The firm claims that the two portable music Walkman devices feature DSEE HX software, which lets the media player upscale the low bitrate audio files to a "near high-res" quality. Bluetooth and NFC connectivity are also included in the media players however, for some reason, the new Walkman models miss out on Wi-Fi connectivity.

The NW-A20 model is further divided into two variants - NW-A25HN and NW-A27HN. While the NW-A25HN includes 16GB inbuilt storage, the NW-A27HN comes with 64GB storage. Both support microSD card slots, which can support up to 128GB cards. The NW-A20 Walkman models feature digital noise cancellation, LDAC Bluetooth streaming, and come with company's newly introduced H.ear range of noise cancelling headphones - MDR-NW750N and MDR-NW750NE, both of which were also announced during the event. The devices both feature 2.2-inch QVGA (320x240 pixels) resolution colour TFT displays with white LED-backlight.

Weighing 66 grams, the variants measure 44x109x9mm, and are rated to deliver up to 50 hours of battery life while listening to mp3 files and 30 hours when listening 'Hi-Res Audio'. While the 16GB version will be available in Black, Blue, Pink, Red, and Orange colour variants, the 64GB version would only be there in Black.

The Sony NW-ZX100HN is the latest addition in the company's ZX Walkman series. it features 3-inch TFT colour LCD display with QVGA (400 x 240 pixels) resolution. The battery life of Sony NW-ZX100HN is rated to deliver 45 hours of life when listening to 24bit/192kHz FLAC audio files. The device also comes with Hi-Res noise cancelling headphones. The Walkman comes with 128Gb inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 64GB). The device would be available starting next month. There is no word on the pricing of any of the Sony Walkman portable media players.

Sony also launched its 4K Ultra HD X90C Android TV sets, which were first unveiled at CES 2015 as the world's slimmest 4K TVs. The Sony X90C 4K TV comes in three screen sizes - 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch, out of which only the first two are available to purchase in select regions. In the UK, the 55-inch model costs GBP 1,999 and the 65-inch model is priced at GBP 2,999.

Both the models come powered by Sony's own 4K processor X1 as well as 4K X-Reality Pro to enhance the content by tweaking the colours, contrast, and brightness. Besides packing the Triluminos display technology, the television sets feature Motionflow XR. Users can also view compatible 3D Blu-ray movies, Web videos and more. Some of the other Android TV features include access to Google Play, Google Cast, Google Voice Search, HDMI, Screen Mirroring and others.

As for the specifications, both the 55-inch and 65-inch models sport nearly the same innards. The only notable difference between them is the power consumption and screen sizes. Both offer viewing angles of 89 degrees. While the 55-inch model measures 123.2x71.2x3.9 cm (without stand) and weighs 18.4kg, the 65-inch model measures 145.1x83.5x3.9 cm and weighs 23.2kg.

Not only Android TV, Sony also unveiled its H.ear (pronounced "hear") foldable headphones. Launched in different colour variants - Lime Yellow, Viridian Blue, Charcoal Black, Bordeaux Pink, and Cinnabar Red - the over-the-head headphones are said to be the best ones to play Sony's 24bit Hi-Res Audio. The headphones feature low impedance of 24 Ohm, and has 40mm HD drivers alongside a frequency response of 5Hz - 60,000Hz. The headphones come with tangle free flat-designed cables and weigh roughly 220 (grams without cable). They are to come priced at $200 and would hit the markets in November.

Also launched under the H.ear series is the 'H.ear in NC' in-ear headphones, which would also be available in the same colour variants as the H.ear over-the-head headphones. The device includes a frequency response ranging from 5Hz to 40,000Hz and features a 9mm high-sensitivity driver unit. It has an impedance of 32 Ohm, and the active noise cancelling in-ear headphones can run for 16 hours in a stretch as per Sony.

Sony also launched its LSPX-P1 Portable Ultra Short Throw Projector. Although Sony has not given details on the Projector, it does states that the portable battery-operated projector comes with built-in speakers for users to listen to accompanying audio while viewing the content thrown by the device on the wall or a table.
