As we are drawing close to the IFA trade fair, Samsung has started announcing new devices and the first one to be announced is a huge Galaxy Player. Joining the ranks of differently sized devices in the Galaxy Player line-up, this one is the biggest.

Dubbed as Samsung Galaxy Player 5.8, this Android multimedia player comes with 5.8-inch qHD 960x540p display, 2500mAh battery, 16/32GB internal storage, microSD slot, front-facing VGA camera, and Android 4.0 with TouchWiz.

The player also comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, 1GB of RAM and Play Store support.

Korean manufacturer has not revealed the global availability or pricing detail right now. It is also highly unlikely that Samsung will release the device in the Indian market, as company has not launched a single Galaxy Player device in the country.

Galaxy Player 5.8 is the fifth Galaxy Player to be announced till now; other devices in the series are Galaxy Player 4, Galaxy Player 5, Galaxy Player 4.2, and Galaxy S Wi-Fi 3.6.
