The latest audio product to enter Creative's Sound Blaster range is the Sound Blaster Jam Bluetooth headset. The headset is priced at Rs. 3,499 will be available from the end of May. Creative is also adopting the e-commerce route for sales like a lot of other technology brands these days. The Singapore-based audio manufacturer claims that the Sound Blaster Jam will be available on major e-commerce websites like Amazon India, Flipkart and Snapdeal.

The new Creative Sound Blaster Jam headset supports streaming through the latest Bluetooth 4.1 standard and it also features near field communication (NFC) protocol for establishing connections, thus making one-touch pairing easier. Moreover, you can connect the Sound Blaster Jam via USB to a computer/Mac and use Sound Blaster's SBX Pro Studio audio enhancement.

The Sound Blaster Jam weighs only 83 grams because it is mostly made of plastic, pretty lightweight for headphones. It has 32mm Neodymium drivers which can play in the frequency range of 20-20000Hz. The headset has play/pause buttons on the right earcup. The volume buttons are also lined up ergonomically on the right earcup. Creative also includes a one-touch button to switch on the bass enhancement mode.

The company claims that the 3.7V 200mAh lithium ion battery inside the Sound Blaster Jam can last 12 hours on a single charge. There is also a high quality hidden omni-direction microphone which can apparently block out the ambient noises, eliminate echoes and improve clarity during phone calls.
