9.7-Inch iPad Pro Pricing, Storage Specifications Leaked Ahead of Monday Launch

Apple on Monday is expected to reveal its new 4-inch iPhone, which most people expect will be called the iPhone SE, alongside a smaller variant of the iPad Pro, the 12-inch tablet that Apple launched last year. Ahead of the official unveiling, a new report has claimed that Apple's 9.7-inch iPad Pro will be priced higher than the iPad Air 2 (Review) which was launched in 2014.

According to 9to5mac the upcoming iPad Pro will be Apple's first tablet featuring a 9.7-inch display whose starting price is more than $499 (approximately Rs. 33,000). According to sources, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi only model will start at a price of $599 (approximately Rs. 40,000) and will pack 32GB of storage. The report adds that there will be a "higher-priced" 128GB model with LTE connectivity as well. The report adds that the 9.7-inch iPad Pro will not replace the iPad Air line.

Apple had launched the iPad Air 2 with Wi-Fi at Rs. 35,900 for the 16GB model, Rs. 42,900 for the 64GB model and Rs. 49,900 for the 128GB model. iPad Air 2 with Wi-Fi + Cellular model was priced at Rs. 45,900 for the 16GB model, Rs. 52,900 for the 64GB model and Rs. 59,900 for the 128GB model.

Based on preliminary leaks, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro is expected to include an A9X processor, a display technology supporting Apple Pencil, four speakers, and a Smart Connector. Apple is also said to be working on the tablet's Smart Keyboard cover as well. The display of the tablet might feature improved anti-glare screen with better brightness over the iPad Air 2. Some of the rumoured specifications of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro are 2732x2048 pixels screen resolution sans 3D Touch functionality and 4GB of RAM.

Apart from the 9.7-inch iPad Pro and the 4-inch iPhone SE, Apple is expected to showcase some Apple Watch models on Monday.
