Nintendo has finally announced the much awaited 3DS portable gaming device. It will be launched on 27th March 2011 in Europe and 26th February in Japan at a price of $249.99
The graphical abilities of the device have been enhanced and surpass those of the Nintendo Wii bringing the device in XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3 territories
A large number of publishers have jumped onboard the 3DS bandwagon the likes of which include Activison, THQ, Ubisoft, Konami, Capcom, EA, Sega, Square Enix and many more
With the launch of the 3DS, gamers will welcome a legion of games such as Kid Icarus: Uprising, Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy, Metal Gear Solid, Snake Eater 3D, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, Nintendogs & cats, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and many more
As with the old DS this model retain the dual display design, with the main widescreen display having a resolution of 800x240 and the secondary touch screen display boasting a resolution of 320x240
With 30 games being available at launch and powerful graphical potential coupled with its advanced 3D abilities, the 3DS looks like another winner from the Nintendo stable
