Apple calls it "Facetime" and it utilises both camera's , One can also show the caller a first person view which utilises the primary 5 MP sensor.

It works through an Wi-fi conection, which means its works out of the box and there is no need of a high speed 3G connection. It is built on open standards like the sessions in protocol(SIP)which means in the future other chat services like Skype can tab into it. (Photo: AP)

Like the iPad, the iPhone 4 uses the in house A4 processor clocking at 1Ghz. The extra horsepower of the A4--compared with its slower cousin in the iPhone 3GS--and the accompanying graphics engine will help push all around performance and help catchup with impressive competitors like the HTC Evo 4G(Photo: AFP)

The new "Retina display"--so named because it surpasses the number of pixels the human retina can process--also greatly improves the sharpness, clarity, and visible detail of images.

The experience for iPhone 4 users would be enhanced through a custom built app called iMovie for iPhone. According to Randy Ubillos, Apple's chief architect of video apps, it would allow users to "record HD video and edit with beautiful transitions and titles, all on the device you carry with you every day." Even music can be added from iTunes, besides importing Geolocation information to titles. (Photo: AFP)
