Panasonic 42 Inch PLASMA HD TV (TH-P42X30D) User Reviews and Ratings

Its been more than a year I have been using this product I Ordered through flipkart, I am reviewing it now I am still as happy with the Product as I was on the day it was installed. The Product 1) A 44 Inch Plasma screen with a spectacular display (One gets used to it quickly however any screen smaller appears Tiny as time goes by) 2) Complete justice to HD and Blue ray formats. The ports are adequately provided and well placed for increased acceptability 3) Can integrate well with other devices. 4) Ergonomic remote The utility beyond watching TV..... 1) I often connect my Laptop or Phone to the TV using HDMI and it handles well. 2) Hooking it up to a camera or USB Stick for browsing through pictures or video is a feature I cherish. 3) Using a Gaming console with the TV is pleasurable experience 4) When I Hook it up to a 1TB Hard-drive it takes about 6-7 minutes reading the drive however holds up extremely well.. 5) The sound quality is extremely good, A 5.1 will only make it more addictive 6) The idea of Browsing internet over the TV sounds appealing, but personally I prefer using my laptop with a wireless Keyboard and Mouse Opposed to hooking up the TV Directly to the internet as using the remote for navigation takes a bit of getting used-to Overall Happy and satisfied with the product If i had to Replace or buy an Additional TV I think I will settle for a Panasonic Product.

I purchased one recently.. The color depth is awesome... Its cheap and good. Just that one thing you may find this as a drawback. This is not a Full HD just HD ready. Even if it has a wi-fi ready. You need to buy a panasonic dongle to connect to net. It do not have sykpe even though its a viera series.

I have been using this TV for last 2 weeks. Seems like the most economical no-compromise 42 inch TV. Good picture quality. Good after-sales service. Panasonic is one of the few manufacturers who offer a 3 year warranty. Great choice overall.

I never thought I would buy a plasma. This TV is excellent...simply superb. Picture quality is really good. It has all the options you need. Plays almost all formats though USB. It has even played an 8GB MKV smoothly. Sound quality is good. To have same viewing experience we need to pay atleast Rs 80000 for an LED TV. I have visited several showrooms but could never understand the difference between LCD LED fullHD....all looks same to me. The only difference I noticed was sales people keep high contrast ratios and brighness for the tvs they wanted to sell and dull ratios for the other ones. If I keep similar contrast and brighness levels all TV look same for me. This TV consumes more power when compared to similar sized LCD or LED tvs. But you have to use it for atleast 10years to make up for the price difference.

I received the delivery within 4 days of placing the order through internet as against their estimated delivery time of 6-8 days.The installation was also done by the company's representative within 24 hours of the delivery.This product is giving very good reception so far and the clarity is as good as LCD TV ,rather a little better.I feel that this buy is good value for money.

I bought this TV in feb12 and believe me its amazing in half price. i researched very much on this and then i went to croma and watched all LED,LCD and plasma that are mounted in same wall. It is easy to observe their that there is hardly any difference but price almost double. 180 degree viewing is ultimate and internet connection is also available. colors are awesome smooth and doesn't give stress to your eyes. There might be little more consumption in light but that doesn't matter much if you compare to quality and price. It is little heavier and bit thick compare to LED but you would not repent with your decision. It works fine with Tata sky HD. IT has ARC(audio return channel) and it works marvelous with Sony dz-310 home thetare with one HDMI cable and you would get 5.1 channel audio for the same cable.

Purchased VIERA TH-P42X30D and i must say, its a wonderful television. I am a movie freak and i have a lot of movie collects in my laptop. My collections vary from 450MB to 3.5 GB. However, for my surprise this TV plays all the movies with HD clarity irrespective of whether its 450 MB or 3.5 GB movie. I recently watched Thor which was 750p movie and the experience was incredible. It has Cinema, true cinema and Dynamic pre-settings which you can change accordingly. And, i connected the sound to my hometheatre and the affect was mind blowing. And, I have Airtel dish tv and HD channels are a pleasure to watch. ESPN, Discovery are my favorites. Its really a wonderful experience. Normal channels are not quite impressive, but channels like normal ESPN, STAR, still are good. You may adjust your contrast and sharpness to make it look good. Overall i would say its an incredible television and value for money. I am enjoying everymoment i watch this. (Specially, My movie collections and HD channels). If you are a movie freak, sports fan (ESPN HD, Star HD, Ten HD) and like to save money go for it.

I got this TV some 2 months ago from the Pana Brand Shop in Delhi for 32K, the TataSky HD (ESPN HD, Star HD, etc) looks great in 1080i resolution 16:9 display.....cricket and Football feel great...virtual in stadium....feel....fast moving pics like the Formula racing looks smooth as silk....color are great, just natural, no clay image feel as in LED TV, gives the theater effect, just connect your CD player for great sound...u get the theater effect, if u have home theater then that is much better....

If you care for slimmer, lighter and a little bit energy efficient panels, go for LED or LCD But if you care for superb contrast ratio, ultimate color reproduction, faster response times and 180 degree viewing angle go for plasma panels (above 40 inches), only OLED display panels can beat this. I bought this 30 days back and believe me this is the best. You can play .mkv and .mp4 (may be audio issues with some .mp4 files) from SDHC cards or USB portable hard drives (only FAT16/32). Yet to connect to internet. Go for it!

Its a great buy .Cheap and best. Awesome colors and great contrast as well. See for yourself. Even if it is not full HD , the picture clarity of HD channels at 720p is exceptional. I use it with my HD-SET TOP BOX and the result is just fascinating. Surfing the web on a 42 inch is not what I plan to do. But if u want you can connect your LAPTOP or PC using a VGA cable directly. U can watch any movie, see any picture or listen to any music directly from your pendrive (USB ). Excellent value for money.

Best Price, Best TV..Though Full HD quality is missing but in the given price I would give it a thumps up! Sound is good, so is the contrast ratio..I'm impressed.. Panasonic is the best guys in the Plasma business
