Redmi Note 6, the highly-anticipated next smartphone from Xiaomi, has been a part of the rumour mill for almost a month now. The upcoming handset in the company's affordable Redmi lineup may arrive in the market soon. Earlier this month, the Chinese manufacturer had launched its Redmi 6 series in India as an upgrade to the Redmi 5 models within a year. Similarly, the Redmi Note 5 Pro, which is due for an upgrade next February, may see an earlier launch as well. The Redmi 6 Pro, expected to be a budget smartphone, has witnessed several leaks and rumours that have given us an idea of what to expect from the upcoming handset. In fact, even the prices, images, and key features of the alleged Redmi 6 Pro handset have been leaked in the last few weeks. We take a look at everything we know about the smartphone ahead of an official announcement from the company.

Redmi Note 6 Pro expected price

Earlier this month, a retailer had listed the Redmi Note 6 Pro on AliExpress. The listing had hinted at the "Global Redmi Note 6 Pro" price and specifications also enabled users to buy the handset. As per the listing, the global variant of Redmi Note 6 Pro will come with a price tag ranging from $193.99 (roughly Rs. 14,100) to $218.99 (roughly Rs. 15,900) on AliExpress. Interestingly, the retailer claimed to be shipping them to global markets such as the US and UK, but not to India. The listing had also noted that the handset will arrive in four colour options, namely Black, Blue, Red, and Rose Gold. Interestingly, a previous report had claimed that the Redmi Note 6 Pro may get priced between EUR 200-250 (roughly between Rs. 16,500 and Rs. 20,600) and come with cheaper pricing in other markets.

Redmi Note 6 Pro expected specifications

The listing of the alleged Redmi Note 6 Pro on AliExpress had hinted at some of the highlights of the smartphone. The smartphone is expected to support dual-SIM cards (Nano) and run MIUI 9 on top of Android. It sports features a 6.26-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage options. Interestingly, another report had claimed that the Redmi Note 6 Pro will pack 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage.

In terms of optics, the Redmi 6 Pro may arrive with a dual rear camera setup that bears a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. Additionally, there is a combination of 20-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors at the front. Connectivity options in the Redmi Note 6 Pro, as per the listing, are 4G LTE and Micro-USB. It also features a fingerprint scanner at the back. Finally, it is fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery and measures 157.9x76.38x8.2mm.

It is worth noting that there is no official confirmation for the 'Global Redmi Note 6 Pro'. Also, the leaks and rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt as Xiaomi is yet to provide any details about the upcoming handset. Details, in terms of design and features, have also not been leaked yet. It is expected that the rumour mill will start churning more information soon and the Redmi Note 6 Pro may start appearing on benchmarking or certification portals. Notably, we do not know the launch date of the upcoming handset.
