Vivo launched the Vivo Y83 Pro smartphone in August this year, and priced it at Rs. 15,990 in the Indian market. The Vivo Y83 Pro packs 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a display notch, and a dual camera setup at the back. The smartphone has now received its first price cut in India, and the price of the smartphone has been reduced by Rs. 1,000. The device is the upgraded variant of the Vivo Y83 launched in June this year, and this smartphone is currently priced in the Indian market at Rs. 13,990.

Coming back to the Vivo Y83 Pro variant, the company has confirmed to Gadgets 360 that the price has been reduced permanently to Rs. 14,990. The Rs. 1,000 price cut on the Vivo Y83 Pro was first reported by Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom. Amazon has also revised the price of the smartphone on its website, while Flipkart still lists the phone with the old pricing. We can expect Flipkart to show the revised pricing soon.

Vivo Y83 Pro specifications

The dual-SIM (Nano + Nano) Vivo Y83 Pro runs Funtouch OS 4.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. The handset sports a 6.22-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) FullView 2.0 IPS display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a display notch. The Vivo Y83 Pro comes with 4GB of RAM, and is powered by the Mediatek Helio P22 octa-core processor.

In the camera department, the Vivo Y83 bears a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, the phone sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Additionally, it comes with an AI Face beauty feature. In terms of storage, the handset gets 64GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). It packs in a 3260mAh battery under the hood.
