Spice Stellar 509 With 3G Support, 5-Inch Display Launched at Rs. 7,999

Spice has launched its new Stellar series smartphone, the Stellar 509, at Rs. 7,999 for the Indian market. The smartphone will be exclusively available via e-commerce website, HomeShop18 starting Monday.

The Spice Stellar 509 smartphone offers dual-SIM (GSM-GSM) support with dual standby and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. The budget Android smartphone features a 5-inch IPS display with an FWVGA (480x854 pixel) resolution. A quad-core (unspecified chipset) processor powers the device, clocked at 1.3GHz, along with 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Spice Stellar 509 handset comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

The Stellar 509 supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, A-GPS and 3G connectivity. It is powered by a 2000mAh battery with no word on talk time and standby time. It comes preloaded with some apps such as Spice Cloud, Opera Mini, OLX, Getit, and Greetzap.

Earlier this month, Spice's new Smart Flo series smartphone, the Smart Flo Crystal, went on sale via an online retailer at Rs. 4,999.

The Smart Flo Crystal (Mi-449) runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. It offers dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) support and dual standby. Other specifications include a 4.5-inch IPS display with FWVGA (480x854 pixels) resolution; 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM; 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash; 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and 4GB of inbuilt storage.

Recently, the Spice Smart Flo Glam (Mi-357) smartphone also went on sale at Rs. 3,299 via an e-commerce website. In April, Spice launched the Stellar Glide(Mi-438) for the Indian market at Rs. 5,199.
