Samsung's yet-to-be-announced Galaxy A9 smartphone has surfaced in an unofficial video where the handset is being compared with the Galaxy A7 (2016) smartphone.

The video has been shared on Youku Tudou, the Chinese video platform, where the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) featuring a 5.5-inch display is seen compared with the Samsung Galaxy A9, which is said to feature a larger 6-inch display. Unfortunately, the video is shot in Mandarin and not much could be deciphered. Some of the notable similarities between the two handsets are in design and interface. In a separate leak, an accessory maker has suggested (via GSMArena) that the Galaxy A9 will measure 161.9x81.3x7.34mm.

The Galaxy A9, which went official with a company listing last month, is rumoured to launch early next year and be priced at around CNY 3,000 (approximately Rs. 32,000).

The Samsung Galaxy A9 was also recently leaked in promotional images. In the leaked promotional images, the metal-clad Galaxy A9 was seen featuring a 6-inch Super Amoled display with a full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution. This contradicted the Galaxy A9's company listing that suggested a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution Super Amoled display. The leaked promotional images also suggested different camera sensors of 13-megapixel on the back and 8-megapixel on the front for the Galaxy A9. Samsung had earlier listed the Galaxy A9 with a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera on board.

Rest of the specifications tipped were the same as the official listing that surfaced last month. It packs a Snapdragon 620 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of built-in storage and features 4G LTE support. Other connectivity options of the Galaxy A9 include GPS, NFC, FM radio, Micro-USB 2.0, and Wi-Fi. One of the highlight features could be the handset's large 4000mAh battery. In one of the promotional images, the Galaxy A9 is seen with reverse charging support. The leaked images also claim that the Galaxy A9 will sport Samsung Pay and will pack fingerprint scanner. The handset is expected to run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

We will have to wait for Samsung's official announcement regarding the launch and availability of the Galaxy A9 smartphone.
