Beyond the Lollipop-based CM12S update however, things still remain dicey for Indian users of the OnePlus One smartphone, with the availability of Cyanogen OS updates in India the biggest bone of contention between Micromax subsidiary Yu Televentures and OnePlus. OnePlus earlier this month provided deadlines for the rollout of the promised Lollipop updates for its One smartphone, promising the CM12S-based build along with the first stable build of the firm's own OxygenOS before the end of the month.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer says the Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS build will be released on or before March 30 as an OTA update, while the OxygenOS build will be released on or before March 27 as a ROM download.OnePlus says to prove its commitment, it will give away five 64GB OnePlus One smartphones if it misses either one of the deadlines - users have to reply to the announcement on the announcement post to be eligible to receive a handset
