OnePlus, after making its One flagship available without invites 'forever', on Tuesday revealed its first carrier agreement with the Malaysian operator - Maxis. The agreement also represents the first offline sales model for the company via retail stores of the carrier.

As a part of the deal, OnePlus will make its One smartphone available to Malaysian consumers exclusively through Maxis. This will also mark Malaysia as the first country to sell OnePlus One handsets via offline stores without invites.

"As we grow, it is increasingly important to work with the right partners who will provide the best experience for our users. Going offline is a first for us and we're very happy to have found a solid partner in Maxis with whom we can take our first steps", said Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus on reaching the milestone.

It has been added that OnePlus One handsets in Malaysia will arrive with one-year limited warranty period, in which the after sales service for the first month will be taken care by Maxis at their Maxis Centres nationwide "including any 1 to 1 device swap until the end of May".

Also, out of the two variants, the 64GB Sandstone Black OnePlus One will be priced at MYR 859 (roughly Rs. 14,900) with MaxisONE Plan and MYR 1199 (roughly Rs. 20,800) for the unlocked version. The smartphones will be available to purchase from Wednesday.

"In the Internet age, we know what our customers crave: the best devices at competitive prices. We are proud to be working with another cool and innovative brand that holds such individuality around the world. With an attractive MaxisONE plan package and a superior data network, our customers can expect nothing short of a thrilling mobile experience," said Dushyan Vaithiyanathan, Maxis' Head of Consumer Business.

OnePlus on Monday announced that the '2014 flagship killer' smartphone will be available without invites from now on.

The announcement, made on the company's blog, also applies to India. The company stressed that 'open sales' are being announced to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the OnePlus One's global launch. The One smartphone is now available exclusively via Amazon India and will require no invites. To sweeten the deal, under the promotional offer consumers can get flat 50 percent discount on accessories along with the purchase of the OnePlus One smartphone in the limited period. The three accessories included in the limited period offer include OnePlus JBL E1+ Earphones, OnePlus Flip Cover (White), and OnePlus Premium Matte Screen Protector.
