Nokia sales head tells Samsung to 'take note' of next gen Lumia

It might just be a stunt to create some hype about upcoming Nokia Lumia smartphones, but Nokia sales head Chris Weber seems to be quite confident about company's next generation Lumia devices.

Weber took to Twitter a few hours ago to call Samsung out.

The reference to "Note" in Chris' above tweet has also led to some speculation about the possibility of Nokia's entry in the phablet market. Galaxy Note, of course, is Samsung's popular phablet, so could Weber be suggesting that the next Lumia is one stylus laden beast like Samsung's phablet? We'll find out soon enough.

We have already reported that Nokia and Microsoft are planning to showcase Windows Phone 8 devices at a press event on September 5 in New York, but there are hardly any details available about these upcoming devices.

The event comes at a time when Nokia seriously needs to show some real earth shattering devices as its market share continues to fall down.

This desperation might also be reason behind the bluntness of Nokia sales head, as it is not normal for handset manufacturer to directly call out each other's names.

On the other hand, we also saw an image of an alleged Nokia Windows Phone 8 device today.
