Huawei after launching its Honor 4C smartphone this week, has now launched another smartphone called the G Play Mini in Italy. The firm also made the Ascend P8lite, seen listed on an online retailer website earlier this week, official in Germany along with a suggested retail price of EUR 249 (roughly Rs. 15,800) price tag and a mid-May availability.
The Huawei G Play Mini is available to purchase in Italy at EUR 229 (roughly Rs. 14,500) unlocked. There is still no details on the device's availability in other regions. Interestingly, the G Play Mini comes with exactly same specifications as seen in the Honor 4C, but is slightly different in design.
The dual-SIM G Play Mini features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display, reports Android HD Blog website (via GSM Arena). It is powered by the same 1.2GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 620 processor used in Honor 4C, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The G Play Mini runs Android 4.4 KitKat with EM UI 3.0 skin on top. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while it also houses a 5-megapixel front camera. The handset packs 8GB of inbuilt storage that can be further expandable via microSD card. The G Play Mini is backed by a 2550mAh battery.
The Huawei Ascend P8lite on the other hand has been announced in Germany, and the suggested price matches that of the retail listing earlier this week. No details have been revealed about global availability. The dual-SIM dual-standby Ascend P8lite is an Android 5.0 Lollipop-based smartphone that features a 5-inch HD IPS display and is powered by a 1.2GHz octa-core Kirin 620 processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM. 16GB of inbuilt storage is included in the handset that can also be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The Ascend P8lite also equips a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone measures 143x70.6x7.7mm, weighs 131 grams and is backed by a 2200mAh. The LTE Cat.4-enabled handset is available in Black, White and Gold colour variants.
