HTC has officially launched Desire X in the country. The smartphone had earlier gone on sale at various online retailers.

Powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the smartphone has been priced at Rs. 19,799 (MRP: Rs. 23,499). Desire X also comes with 1GHz dual-core processor, 5MP rear camera, HTC Sense 4.0 and 4-inch WVGA display.

The smartphone features Beats Audio Integration and 768MB RAM. According to HTC, the Desire X buyers will also get 25GB of cloud storage from Dropbox.

Set to compete with the likes of Motorola Atrix 2, Samsung Galaxy Advance and Sony Xperia Sola, Desire X seems like a decent mid-range phone on-paper.

"HTC Desire X is an extension of your social life. If you're looking to enjoy and share high quality multimedia, wherever you are, this is the phone for you. It not only looks and sounds great, but also provides a super-fast, highly personal mobile experience at a great price," says, Faisal Siddqui, Country Manager, HTC India.
