The smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. While the processor is unspecified on the website, our previous report indicated the handset to feature a MediaTek-made octa-core processor.
Besides housing an 8-megapixel rear and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, the HTC Desire 616 is also capable of recording full-HD resolution video. While the smartphone comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, it can also house up to 32GB external storage via microSD card.
The wireless connectivity options for the Desire 616 feature Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, GPRS/ EDGE and 3G. Available in White and Black colour variants, the smartphone is backed by a 2000mAh battery, which is rated to give up to 14 hours of talktime in 3G connectivity.
