Gionee has launched its new S6 Pro smartphone in India priced at Rs. 23,999 (MOP). The company has also unveiled its first VR headset in the country, priced at Rs. 2,499. The Gionee S6 Pro smartphone will be available from October 1 across retail stores in Gold and Rose Gold colours. On the purchase of the S6 Pro smartphone, the Chinese company is bundling three months free subscription to Saavn Pro music streaming service.
To recall, Gionee unveiled the S6 Pro smartphone in China back in June.
The company is touting the new Split Screen feature on the Gionee S6 Pro which allows users to work on two simultaneous screens where one could play a video and other could show notifications from apps installed on the device. The handset comes inbuilt with features like Video Editor with themed and professional edits, Desktop Editor, Image+ to record amazing features, video beautification, time lapse, and text recognition.
For specifications, the Gionee S6 Pro features a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display with 2.5D curved edge display. The display also sports Corning Gorilla Glass for protection.
It is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with 4GB of RAM. There is 64GB of on-board storage which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). The handset runs Amigo 3.2 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It sports metallic unibody and packs a fingerprint scanner embedded on the home button. The company touts that it can unlock the smartphone in just 0.1 seconds. Another highlight of the handset is that it comes with USB Type-C charging slot.
Backed by a 3130mAh battery, the Gionee S6 Pro sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also sports an 8-megapixel front camera with front flash. For connectivity, the S6 Pro supports 4G and VoLTE connectivity options.
