OnePlus 3 is set for a June 14 launch, and teasers have started to pour in. After the initial video teaser on YouTube, and the selfie sample shared CEO Pete Lau, the executive has now shared more sample shots clicked from the OnePlus 3. OnePlus has also announced that there will be physical pop-up events held in seven locations across the world including Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai starting June 15. Separately, the company has sent invites for a launch event in New Delhi on the same day.
The sample shots this time come in the form of food photography. Lau has posted three more photos on social media (via Weibo), and the photos seem to have good focus, detail, and colour accuracy. However, these might be taken under ideal conditions with proper lightning so lets keep the judging of the camera for when we get to review the device. In any case, the EXIF data pretty much confirms the 16-megapixel at the back.
A few days ago, Lau had shared a selfie on social media, again taken from the OnePlus 3. The selfie was taken indoors, where typically lighting is a problem, but the resulting photo seemed to have procured satisfactory results. Again, the data from that photo had revealed the 8-megapixel specification detail of the front camera.
OnePlus has additionally announced that it will be conducting pop-up events in seven cities across the world starting June 15. These events will allow users to get an experience with the smartphone first-hand, and purchase the flagship as well. The company also assures goodies for all those first customers. These events will take place in Bengaluru, Berlin, Delhi, London, Mumbai, New York, and Paris, but so far, exact timings and venues for the India events have not been provided.
So far, the OnePlus 3 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch full-HD display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB and 6GB RAM options, alongside 32GB and 64GB storage options. It should run on Android Marshmallow-based OxygenOS, and don USB Type-C charging port.
