The refreshed Asus Padfone Infinity comes with dimensions 143.5x72.8x8.9mm and weighs 145 grams. It features a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920) Super IPS display. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. The new Padfone Infinity sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Much like HTC's UltraPixel and Nokia's PureView technology, Asus has also introduced a new camera technology on the device dubbed PixelMaster, which the company claims can enhance image quality by compressing them into a 3-megapixel image. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The new Padfone Infinity includes 2GB of RAM and comes in two inbuilt storage variants - 16GB and 32GB which can be further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. The smartphone comes with a 2400mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ AGPS, 3G, NFC and LTE. It will be available in two colour variants, Titanium Black and Platinum White.
The new Padfone Infinity, much like its predecessor, the original Padfone Infinity comes with a Padfone station where the smartphone can be docked. The Padfone station also features a 10.1-inch full-HD display.
The new PadFone Infinity has been priced at $640 (Rs. 40,500 approximately) for the 16GB variant while the 32GB model comes for $710 (Rs. 44,900 approximately). The new Padfone Infinity station is priced at $240 (Rs. 15,187 approximately).
Last week, Asus in an effort to hype up the launch of its new hybrid device, put up a teaser video alongside a countdown clock on its official website.
