Fairphone, founded in 2009, is a social enterprise targeting to build smartphones designed and produced with fair labour conditions for the workforce and the supply chain. The company claims to be the world's first to launch a modular smartphone - one that customers can assemble or even upgrade if they wish to. Fairphone's latest mobile launch is the 3+. The smartphone was launched in 27th August 2020. The phone comes with a 5.65-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2160 pixels at a PPI of 427 pixels per inch.
The Fairphone 3+ is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 400GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Fairphone 3+ packs a 48-megapixel (f/1.79) primary camera on the rear and a 16-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
The Fairphone 3+ runs Android 10 and is powered by a 3040mAh removable battery. It measures 158.00 x 71.80 x 9.89 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 189.00 grams.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC and USB Type-C. Sensors on the phone include Face unlock, Fingerprint sensor, Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
