Mi Max 3 smartphone was launched in July 2018. The phone comes with a 6.90-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2160 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.

Mi Max 3 is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 636 processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM.

The Mi Max 3 runs Android 8.1 Oreo and is powered by a 5,500mAh battery. The Mi Max 3 supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Mi Max 3 on the rear packs a 12-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.9 aperture and a pixel size of 1.4-micron and a second 5-megapixel camera. The rear camera setup has phase detection autofocus. It sports a 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.2 aperture and a pixel size of 1.12-micron.

The Mi Max 3 runs MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB). The Mi Max 3 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.

Connectivity options on the Mi Max 3 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB Type-C, FM radio, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.

The Mi Max 3 measures 176.15 x 87.40 x 7.99mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 221.00 grams. It was launched in Dark Blue, Dream Gold, and Meteorite Black colours.

Mi Max 3 - Superb!

Fantastic big screen but easy to handle. Once upgraded to MIUI 10 (OTA update), SIMS worked fine in UK (B20 band) No bloatware - gorgeous in gold

AVOID : Great phone if you do not want a phone

LTE and Wifi work really well. But you can't make phone calls. 2G and 3G don't work at all even though my network frequencies are supported (tested on three different networks). RF performance very poor when signal strength is low -80dBm or worse, other bands e.g. Apple/Samsung/Sony still work well i.e. data and phone calls work You get what you pay for...
