Lenovo IdeaPad 100S Windows 10 Laptop Launched at Rs. 14,999

Lenovo has launched its budget-friendly IdeaPad 100S laptop in India, with an end user price (EUP) of Rs. 14,999. The laptop, which is exclusively available via Snapdeal, runs Windows 10 - the highlight of the laptop at this price.

To recall, the IdeaPad 100S was launched by Lenovo at IFA 2015 in September, alongside other IdeaPad and Yoga laptops and convertibles. The specifications of the Indian variant differ significantly however.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 100S sports an 11.6-inch HD (1366x768 pixel) TN display. It is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor that goes up to 1.83GHz, and is coupled with Intel HD on board graphics. It comes with 2GB of 1600MHz DDR3L RAM, and 32GB of built-in flash storage that can be expanded via microSD card.

Other features of the Lenovo IdeaPad 100S include Bluetooth v4.0 connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port, headphone and microphone jack, as well as a 2-cell 39Whr battery that's rated to deliver up to 8 hours of use. The laptop bears a 0.3-megapixel webcam, and a standard keyboard.

The IdeaPad 100S weighs 1kg, and measures 292x202x17.5mm. The company is also touting Dolby Advanced Audio, apart from the two 1W speakers on board. The laptop is available in a Silver colour variant, and comes with 1-year onsite warranty.

Speaking on the launch of the laptop, Ashok Nair Director, Home and Small Business, Lenovo India said, "Lightweight notebooks that offer superior functionality at affordable price points are a compelling choice in an era where consumers are always on the go and want to stay connected. Another feature that every consumer asks for is a long battery life which we are offering with this really cool product. With its attractive design and specifications, IdeaPad 100S offers unmatched end user experience for both families and professionals."
