In addition to quietly launching four Celeron and Pentium 'Braswell' processors this week, Intel has also launched several desktop and mobile Core i3 and Pentium processors without much fanfare. While the mobile processors are named Pentium 3825U, Core i3-5015U and Core i3-5020U, the desktop processors are Pentium G3260, Pentium G3260T, Pentium G3460T, Pentium G3470, Core i3-4170, Core i3-4170T and Core i3-4370T.

The mobile processors, all of which are based on the firm's 14nm Broadwell architecture, feature 15W TDP (Thermal Design Power) ratings. All models also feature Hyper-Threading technology allowing each processor core to execute two threads simultaneously. The Pentium 3825U is clocked at 1.9GHz and features 2MB of L2 cache and integrated Intel HD Graphics. The Core i3-5015U and Core i3-5020U are clocked at 2.1GHz and 2.2GHz respectively, with 3MB of L2 cache each and integrated Intel HD 5500 graphics .

As per a price list procured by CPU World, the Pentium 3825U, Core i3-5015U and Core i3-5020U mobile processors are priced at $161 (roughly Rs. 10,000), $275 (roughly Rs. 17,100), and $281 (roughly Rs. 17,500) respectively.

Coming to desktops, the seven new processors have significantly different specifications. While the four Pentium-branded processors feature two cores, Intel HD Graphics and 3MB of L2 cache, the three Core i3 processors feature two cores with Hyper-Threading.

The Intel Pentium G3260 is clocked at 3.3GHz and has a 53W TDP rating. The Pentium G3260T is clocked at 2.9GHz and sports a 35W TDP rating. While the Pentium G3460T is clocked at 3GHz with a 35W TDP rating, the Pentium G3470 is clocked at 3.6GHz and has a 53W TDP rating.

As for the three new Core i3 processors, the Core i3-4170 and Core i3-4170T are clocked at 3.7GHz and 3.2GHz respectively. The two processors are equipped with 3MB of L2 cache and HD 4400 GPUs, apart from featuring 54W and 35W TDP ratings respectively. The Core i3-4370T on the other hand is clocked at 3.3GHz, and features a HD 4600 GPU alongside a 35W TDP rating. All the processors are designed to work with DDR3 RAM, with the maximum supported speed varying between 1333MHz and 1600MHz.

The Pentium G3260, Pentium G3260T, Pentium G3460T, Pentium G3470, Core i3-4170, Core i3-4170T and Core i3-4370T are priced at $64 (roughly Rs. 4,000), $64, $75 (roughly Rs. 4,700), $86 (roughly Rs. 5,300), $117 (roughly Rs. 7,300), $117 and $138 (roughly Rs. 8,600) respectively.
