Google CEO Sundar Pichai will address students from across the country at Delhi University's Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) on Thursday.

A media invite sent by Google reads: "We're delighted to welcome you to attend #AskSundar, a candid chat session with Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google Inc., where he will answer questions asked by students from across the country. Join us at Shri Ram College of Commerce on 17th December for an inspirational, fun-filled event you wouldn't want to miss!"

The open session at SRCC will be one hour long, from 1pm to 2pm. "We had invited Google CEO for an interactive session at SRCC and we have got a confirmation from Google about the same. Pichai will be addressing and interacting with students on December 17 during the session 'Ask Sundar'," a senior college official told PTI.

Chennai-born Pichai is in India for a visit and at the 'Google for India' event on Wednesday, company executives made a host of announcements, from free Wi-Fi at 100 stations by end of 2016 to new features for YouTube and a new Google campus at Hyderabad.

Last year, Pichai was in India for the global launch of Google's ambitious Android One project that aims to make pure Android available on affordable phones.

The 43-year-old alumnus of IIT-Kharagpur had met Modi in September during the Prime Minister's visit to the Silicon Valley in September.

Google had announced that it will collaborate with the Indian Railways to provide Wi-Fi services at rail stations by next year.
