Google has announced that it is introducing 8-bit Google Maps for Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).

Confirming its decision to 'stop neglecting one of the most popular platforms in the world', Google has said that it will be bringing a version of maps to the console with 'beautiful low-res graphics, simple and intuitive controls, and a timeless soundtrack'.

Google doesn't stop there. After confirming the release of the first NES cartridge in 18 years, Google also announced plans to bring Maps to the Game Boy Console in the future.

The impatient can check out the video below or type 'Quest' in Google Maps to get started.

It's 1st already in Japan, so guess this can't be termed early. Happy April Fools' day from Google and us everybody!
