After HTC managed to garner some traction with the HTC One (M8) and the HTC Desire 816, we think that the company might be on the road to recovery. Taking advantage of this positive trend, HTC has tweaking the winning formula very slightly, to appeal to a broader audience. The Taiwanese company has announced the HTC One (E8) Dual SIM recently.

HTC One (E8) Dual SIM Summary

A variant of the good-looking HTC One (M8), the HTC One (E8) Dual SIM ditches the metal body for a polycarbonate avatar. This polycarbonate shell feels great and we think that for many practical purposes might actually be better than the meta body of the One (M8), the grip for example. Having said that, the performance of the 13-megapixel camera is pretty average and the phone heats up occasionally.

  • Flagship features...dual sim...classy feel! AN ABSOLUTE BEAST OF A PHONE! Must-have!
Nirbhay Sharma (Oct 11, 2014) on Gadgets 360
this is my first htc and i bought it from a retailer in chandigarh. first things first, i feel this phone is a tad bit over-priced (in comparison to the same phone in china) but that can be understood for the import taxes and duties for the import of phones. but i got it for 31200 which after going through around 20shops was the best deal i could find. coming to the phone. its just wonderful to use it. i own the dark grey color and believe you me it has just the same feel as any flagship phone has and even better according to me due to it being lighter than M8. the white color has a polycarbonate feel and will leave u asking for a bit more, but the dark grey version gets it absolutely right. battery, a main concern in android phones today. but this phone on normal usage, i.e. normal web browsing calls and music can get u something more than a day. however if continuous rigorous movies/3g calling, the battery will drain in around 12hours. camera is good, not great. the pictures are good as far as the clarity and sharpness is concerned but the color saturation and white balance goes haywire in low lighting or heavily lit areas. UI, htc sense is just the best. u will love it the moment u touch it. blink feed is awesome as it gives u all info (social/news etc) on your home screen. the ui is very swift and responsive andno lag whatsoever. gaming: fifa 15, rip tide gp2 ran as smooth as silk. no lag, no heating even after continuous gaming but as with all phones, during heavy gaming the battery drains out. dual sim!!! i dont know how many of u want this but i have the requirement of 2 sims and to have such a mobile phone with these specs and dual sim, its "sone-pe suhaga" for me :) all in all, i just love this phone. its feel, its price, its specs. a phone u must have if u want to save so money and get the best dual sim out there.

  • This is a real experience with HTC phone and its customer care.
Pranab Kiran Nath (Aug 30, 2014) on Gadgets 360
I bought a HTC one E8 mobile phone a week back and since then struggling to configure and use its features.4 times I have called up customer care 18002663566 and each time they RUDELY turned me down by saying that they will not be able to provide me any help. These guys fails to understand the basic of Customer relation Management. If your process is more important than providing help/service to the customer then you will be left with process and NO customers. See the comment from your customer service representative on your chat.HE IS REFUSING TO EXTEND ANY HELP. Process is more important to HTC than helping the customerPranab Kiran Nath (Customer) Sorry I am not comfortable sahring my IMEI no.Ajit _ (Serv Rep) Pranab, without IMEI number, we will not be able to trace the device details and assist you further.I am surprised and shocked to know that HTC doesn't even care for their customers who owns HTC high end mobile handsets.Anyway take this feedback1. SIM tray is very difficult to open and close. Overall very badly designed.2. Volume button is poorly designed and difficult to operate.3. Screen brightness is poor4. No Videocalling software even though you pay a bomb.5. Performance is very poor as you will notice that your mobile is slow.6. Not able to do multitasking on many of its applications.7. No User guide provided in the box8. The list is endless but the biggest disadvantage of them all is that you get a bunch of Extremely Rude Customer Support. Who are not ready to help you.MORAL OF THE STORYNever ever buy a HTC one E8 phone becoz Customer service is worse than you can ever imagine and the phone is neither user friendly nor intuitive.I have spent a bomb on a phone and HTC customer care are not ready to provide any support.I really feel cheated and am repenting for going with HTC.I could have easily gone with Iphone or LG as these companies are customer friendly. It was a rude shock to me when HTC customer support refused to provide help.I request everyone to pass on these message so that HTC stops fooling and playing around with customers. I will ensure that my experience is shared with as many people as possible around the globe so that customers are not taken for granted.
