Yakuza 6: The Song of Life might make it to PC, according to a mention in publisher Sega's fiscal year report. The game was released in April 2018 for the PS4.

On page 10 of a detailed 31-page report about Sega's various divisions and games, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life lists two platforms: PlayStation 4 and PC. That is surprising considering Sega hasn't made an announcement, but the mention clearly suggests that a PC version is in the works.

Yakuza has historically been a PlayStation-only franchise, since its days on PS2 in 2005. That changed with Yakuza 0, which was released for Windows PCs earlier this week, a year and a half since its English-language release worldwide and over three years since its release in Japan.

Yakuza Kiwami, the remake of the franchise's first game Yakuza, is also slated for a Windows PC release but no date has yet been provided. The game released in Japan in January 2016, with the English release arriving in August 2017.

Sega's recent change of strategy suggests that a PC release for Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is not out of the question. It's possible that the mention of PC under the platform column is simply a typing error, but we will have to wait for Sega to make an official announcement.

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is the final entry in Sega’s long-running gangster franchise to feature series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu. We scored it 9 out of 10 in our review, praising the fantastic story, memorable cast, abundance of mini-games, and solid combat.
