With a view to tap the rapidly growing Indian gaming market, Microsoft Corporation on Tuesday launched the latest version of its blockbuster, Halo: Reach.

The game is now available at all leading organised retail stores across the country at Rs 2,599 for the standard edition, Rs 2,999 for the limited edition and Rs 6,999 for the legendary edition.

Halo: Reach, developed exclusively for Xbox 360 by developer Bungie, is the blockbuster prequel to the best-selling Xbox franchise of all time.

Halo: Reach is the blockbuster prequel to Halo trilogy that will let players experience the events that transpired on the planet Reach. The Halo franchise is an entertainment phenomenon comprising of best-selling novels, collectibles and industry-acclaimed anime and genre-defined games that have more than 30-million units world-wide.

"The Halo franchise games have been one of the most popular and best games for us. Halo: Reach will definitely keep up to the success of its predecessors and will take the legacy of Halo's reach multiplayer game-play to an entirely new level, delivering experience that will keep players attached to Xbox live for years to come," Microsoft Corporation (India)'s Director Marketing, Entertainment & Devices Division, Ashim Mathur, told reporters.
