Dell Inspiron I5559-7080SLV User Reviews and Ratings

I have the refurbished i7 16GB Full HD version, and after 5 days of use, I can confidently vouch for it being an excellent affordable choice for a "fully loaded" laptop including the latest 3D camera with RealSense by Intel. I compared several similar 15.6" units from Lenovo, HP, ASUS (that were similarly priced new or refurbished, and had a DVDRW), and preferred the velvety feel of the surfaces surrounding the DELL keyboard, and the feel of its touchpad and keys. The touchpad on the DELL is a lot more responsive and confident in feel than the current model HP Pavillion, for example. So is the overall housing design - the HP is actually a bit "cheap" in feeling, which is a step or more back from my 4-year old 17" HP Pavillion DV7. The Lenovo and ASUS models still don't match up to the build quality and feel of the DELL. In general the other competitive products don't seem to be designed and built as well; the DELL has no ugly seams and appears to be robust while slightly heavier than some of the others. Backlit keys are a luxury feature, great in dimly lighted areas. Refurbished product seems to come with a lot less bloatware. Battery life can easily be improved by enduser - by switching off backlit key feature and dimming screen to a comfortable viewing level; I can get about 5+ hours easily with browser, MS WORD, EXCEL and MS Project running concurrently without streaming music through speakers or watching DVD videos. Full HD display is much better than regular HD, don't hesitate to spring for Full HD if you can afford it.

I've had this for a couple of months now. Great machine.Keyboard is good, display is good, touchscreen is good. Sound is reasonably good. Fine for movies and occasional music.This model is the I7 processor, 8GB RAM, 1 TB SATA hard drive and DVD optical drive.Love having the DVD drive and it's becoming rare.15" screen is great for at-home use and bridges the gap between a PC and a laptop really well for in-home use.It's plenty speedy although I'm not running Photoshop or gaming on this.

I've been using this for a couple of weeks now. It's a beauty.Performance: i7 6th gen lives up to the hype. The laptop is really smooth even with several intensive applications open. I worked with Photoshop, Illustrator simultaneously, editing pretty large documents and shifting data from one to the other; the laptop handled it all without any noticeable effort. I'm yet to see what the waiting cursor looks like.Display: Fantastic. Who knew Dell could make nice displays? Not only is the full-HD display clear as crystal, it has decent contrast and viewing angle. The touch is responsive as well. Perfect for designers/illustrators, who are spared the trouble of purchasing a digitizer like, say, Wacom.Graphics: Intel HD graphics handles the display. The Radeon R5 is only called upon when graphic-intensive applications are being run. This saves you a LOT of power and trouble. Make sure you have AMD's Crimson software installed as well. As for gaming, so far I've only played NFS Hot Pursuit (2010) maxed out at 1080p, it runs ever so smoothly. The lappy heats up after intensive gameplay though, so a fair airflow or a cooler is recommended heavily. Overheating will lead to the app/game being shut down immediately, and you can kiss that hard-earned achievement goodbye.Audio: The speakers are actually quite, quite nice. Loud and clear with MaxxAudio.Peripherals: Standard. The keyboard backlight doesn't hurt the eye, just the right amount of brightness. Adjustable. Rest work as they ought to. The HD webcam takes grainy images under low light, otherwise okay. Great for video calls though, apart from an issue I've jotted down later.Looks: Sleek. Smooth. The textured top does away with scratches and fingerprints. The matte finish of the keyboard/touchpad achieves the same; cleaning and maintenance is easy too.Battery: Gives you about 3-4 hours of regular use at 60-80% display brightness. Less when gaming - Radeon R5 draws much power. Then again, who on earth games on battery power?Support: This comes with a pendrive carrying Windows 10 recovery media. Darn useful if the system is messed up. Also comes with a warranty activated by the seller.In the box: The laptop, adapter, two cables (one 220v, one 110v), aforementioned pen drive, warranty card, manual.Issues: Webcam issue, occasionally, when Skyping. But that might be a software compatibility problem, rather than the laptop's shortcoming. Another issue being graphics card selection; a lot of games don't detect the Radeon and go with Intel HD. Installing Crimson software solves this issue (the games still don't detect Radeon and try running on Intel HD. but Crimson overrides it forces them to use the Radeon anyway).As for the seller (Cglobal). They advertise the truth here. Moreover, they were extremely patient and helpful with all queries and clarifications. The delivery was quick even with standard delivery. The packaging was very much secure, robust, and the units inside were in perfect condition. I have heaps of praise and no complaint with them.As far as personal computers go, this burns a sizeable hole in the pocket. But it's entirely worth the expense and more. This baby packs a lot of power under the hood, and looks good while doing so.

I chose this product for Touch Screen, Full HD, Sixth generation intel core i7 processor and a price lower than other brands for all the good features.The product is excellent and a worthy buy.

Product is very good but sometimes I have experienced blue screen related issue. Seller has increased my warranty for more than 6 month so much more credit goes to seller.

Here under is my previous review but today when I checked warranty, I found that I had received warranty for 9 Months only. When I asked seller, He said that you will have to extend warranty and 3 months from it will be paid by him. I am dissatisfied with the answer and response. Still seller is a nice and cooperative guy. Not a major issue but I want complete one year warranty.OLD REVIEWI had purchased this laptop for bit lower price than the current price. Laptop is performing well. Seller is very cooperative. I have a little issue with its keys on keyboard as push is not convenient. I think, I might need some more time to get used to it. A lot of issues appeared over time. Not a great laptop.

We bought this computer in August of 2016 and now we?re told that the visual display card is shot. This is just used a few times a week and now we?ve got to purchase a new one. Definitely not a Dell though. Thank god for my phone and computer at work!

Had problems with this computer from day 1. Extremely slow startup for computer with these parts. Many different programs would crash multiple times a day. Continuously gave me many types of errors. I returned it and purchased a different Dell computer that works much better.

BAD productThe battery only works for one hour.The sreen is unusually hot.I tried to contact the Dell Service, but they didn't answer my email.Very disappointed

I will never buy a Dell laptop again. Dell use to be good equipment, but this laptop has always been unreliable. I am an IT professional and know my way around laptops. At the moment, I am wasting hours trying to get this laptop to recognize a new battery. I chose to ignore the poor reviews because I thought Dell was a good brand. I leaned my lesson! No more Dell for this guy!

The screen didn't work or it came broken, so disappointed.

Bought this about months ago. Since buying it i've had to send it to be fixed 2 times. I've had to replace the screen, hard drive, key board, optical drive, power adapter, operating system, cables, speakers and either the wifi or grafics card (Can't remember). It really is an overpriced hunk of garbage. It still freezes a lot and the screen has lines in it when you scroll. The battery only lasts about 2 hours and i've been taking really good care of it.

Pathetic customer service.. I bought a laptop ( Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series 5559 ) worth 80k.I reached home, fired up my laptop on the same day I bought it and I came to know that the the boot time was 3 mins and it was taking a long tim.e to open all the programes and wasn't working. I went to the store and ask dell to help you and stuff. They have been polite but I cant believe that they are not ready to assist me in anyway to get a refund or replace the laptop from their side.then also i gabe my laptop to tje Also, dell resetting to factory setting got stuck at 99%. center for the reparing the also the problem was there then again i gome then alos they were telling the same s***. hated myself for buying Dell. My laptop is getting really warm Even if I'm not doing anything. And they battery life lasts like 3 hours. Too bad I can't change it, because I live in another country. Be careful!
