This small computer has proved to be a BIG value for me. Computing speed is adequate for as many tabs and applications as I need (researcher) and plenty of space to add programs and applications as necessary.

I own quite a few Dell products and they all work very well, so when it came time to replace my failing Macbook Pro I figured they were a good choice for a low-cost laptop I could build upon. to preface with the kind of activity I use my computer for: i am an artist, and i'm often running high-intensity image programs like Photoshop. i also occasionally play video games. I use it for hobby and for school, as I'm a college student and need something that integrates with the software on the school computers, like OneDrive and Microsoft Office.PROS:- extremely cheap. i'm honestly surprised at how well it performs for the price point.- very attractive looking. it's a uniform black, with a textured surface that doesn't attract fingerprints and a glossy trim. it looks like a more expensive laptop.- it's lightweight and sleek, which is wonderful if you're going to be taking your laptop somewhere frequently. I bring mine to class and it takes up very little space in my backpack; it's thicker than a Macbook, but I don't notice it being any heavier.- although the processor is soldered on, which prevents it from being changed out, pretty much everything else in this laptop can be easily upgraded or changed out in case of damage. you can replace the CD drive, RAM, HDD, and even the keyboard. the process (other than actually accessing some of these parts, which i will discuss below) is a no-brainer, even for someone with basically no experience working with computer parts.- it is incredibly quiet. all HDDs make some noise when they're being put under pressure, but even with high-intensity use this laptop is whisper-soft.- it comes with Windows 10, which integrates well with most programs that are used for school and work purposes. it's not very good at multitasking in its factory conditions (it will "hang" when switching between programs), but with a quick RAM upgrade i'm able to run multiple high-intensity programs at once.CONS:- the speakers are shoddy. i don't necessarily consider this a 'con' since it's hard to find good speakers on a laptop, and i rarely if ever use the built-in speakers anyway. i either use headphones or external speakers.- the screen is not very good, as is common in cheap laptops. it's weakest when outdoors - you will barely be able to see the screen if you take it outside.- while it can be upgraded, it's not as easy to do so with this particular laptop as it is for others in the Inspiron line. with most Inspiron laptops all you have to do is unscrew the back chassis to upgrade the RAM or replace the hard drive; with this one, you LITERALLY have to dismantle it - the back chassis, the keyboard, and the CD drive have to be removed. this is the biggest con for me, as I bought this laptop to be able to make my own upgrades. I will say, though, that the computer accepts upgrades with ease. after bringing the RAM up to 16GB, it runs like a dream.in a nutshell, this computer is not going to blow anyone's mind. it has some very legitimate drawbacks. but for such a low price point, i am pretty impressed with this thing. I spent a fortune on my Macbook and while it was a wonderful computer, the inability for a layman to swap out parts was utterly infuriating. since I can upgrade this computer I expect to be able to have it for years to come and be able to keep up with advances in technology.

The laptop arrived quickly and very well packaged. Setup was pretty easy, although two screens flew by without allowing me to click Next. Why did I care? One was a screen asking if it was OK for Microsoft advertising partners to contact me, but it moved to the next screen after about a second, too quick for me to say NO! I didn't appreciate that at all. Otherwise, the laptop seems fine, and I look forward to using it.

This doesn't have a lot of processing power, but I have to say I'm impressed with the computer considering the price. The design looks a lot better than computers that are much more expensive - it's a sturdy design that isn't that typical ugly "shiny gloss" look a lot of cheap computer's seem to have , has 2 USB ports, a cd/dvd drive, and hasn't been slow at all since weve gotten it. All in all I think it's a great option if you aren't into gaming or running a bunch of programs at once, and just need a computer for school or general use.

windows 10 more difficult to use and fewer features than windows 7- I do not know why Microsoft would make their operating system less user friendly than previous version. Little slower than previous computer, but not terrible Liked the bright large screen. The computer is light weight and has all the exterior ports I need. This was a good buy over all.

It came in just 2 days and its wonderful so far, a little slower than I'm used to though.

I got this 3 weeks ago. It was fine for a couple of days, but lately it's been taking a long time to load up and it's always updating. I have another laptop and it does not make me update as much as this computer. It has 1tb but so much of the bloat ware has been installed it's already at 900 mega bytes. I'm thinking about returning it.
