I stay in Surat, Gujarat but as this product was not being delivered in Surat, I had ordered the product on 09th July, 2014 for shipping it at Ahmedabad. The delivery date given was 12th July, 2014 (Saturday). I made the full payment and conveyed my concern of delay in delivery to the Flip kart Customer care as I was traveling from Surat to Ahmedabad just to take delivery of this product.
It was shocking for me to know that the delivery is not via Flight!! They delivered it by road and the product reached me late by 1 day and I had to leave Ahmedabad without getting my camera as I had a train to catch. The more pathetic thing was that the product had reached Ahmedabad in the morning at 9.45 AM and they were not able to deliver it till 6 PM in evening. The next day I had to go on a travel trip where I had to go without carrying my camera. In this process I had contacted the customer care for more than 15 times describing the urgency but they failed drastically.
The story does not end here. Their sales package contents as per their website mentions 4 GB CF card which was missing in the package. Hence, without this card, camera was of no use. They told me that they will call me within 48 hours to address this issue which they did not call. They called me after 56 hours just to tell that the 4 GB CF card was not available with them so they offered me Rs.1000 in my E_Wallet with Flip kart. The price of a standard Class 10 (4 GB) CF Card of Scan-disk on their website is Rs.1700 approx. I denied the offer and have told them to deliver the missing item. They have now informed me that it MIGHT take 7-10 working days for the delivery (which also I am not sure now). As on date, I am waiting for my 4 GB CF card to be delivered.
Flip kart should be more sincere regarding urgent and high value items.
EDIT Date 28-07-2014 : I wish to add that the battery was not working and i have ordered for replacement of the camera. The flipkart customer care did one more blunder by delivering the camera at wrong address inspite of repeated calls and mails from my end. As on date, i am not able to use my camera and the replacement has not been made.
EDIT Date 31-07-2014 : Today i received a replacement for my camera and to my surprise and shock, this time again the 4 GB CF Card was MISSING !!! I have lodged a complaint. I am not able to use my camera without the memory card.
