Extremely fast and capable Ultrabook. Boots into Windows in about 5 seconds. Very pleased with the speed and capability of the machine. NVMe SSD is also very nice to have. Fingerprint sensor works about 3/4 of the time. WiFi card kept disabling itself for some reason, you have to go into device manager->network devices->power management to fix this problem. Considered sending it back because of the fingerprint sensor error and the WiFi disconnect, but an update fixed both of those problems for the most part. Fan is quite noisy at times, but I don't really mind at all because I use headphones mostly when using this device. Battery life is not great, which is to be expected in a form factor this small. I usually average about 6-7 hours on a full charge using Visual Studio and browsing the web. If you use the built in Battery-Saver feature on balanced mode you could probably squeeze another couple hours out of the machine. Overall a very capable computer, and I absolutely love how compact and portable it is.

I bought this netbook for my younger brother for Christmas (He's 36 years old). He's had it for a little over a month now so I think it's safe to put in my review on his behalf. He mentions almost daily how fast it is, how good the touchpad is, how nice it is that it literally fits in an envelope (seriously, it comes with a little leather envelope to keep it in) It was pricey, but compared to a MacBook, it's a bargain, and no MacBook can come close to matching these specs.Keep in mind: This is not a gaming rig, it's passable for some games, but don't expect to be playing the latest game at 60fps on this. It's super thin, weighs 2 lbs, and still has a large SDD (On top of separate storage for the OS) I spent comical amounts of money on my gaming rig, including insanely fast storage right on my mother board for the OS, and this netbook starts up faster than my rig. That's despite being packed with factory bloatware, where my rig has none to run. I was impressed as well with how quickly it opens any program.The one I got was blue, and the spun aluminum finish really pops with the dark color, it's a bit more prone to fingerprints than silver, but my brother is a neat freak so he never has oily/dirty hands so it's a non-issue.

The computer is fast and light, perfect for high volumes of video editing!

I love this little laptop. It weighs only a couple of pounds, is so easy to carry around, and performs really well. Love the 16 gigs of RAM and i7 processor. The screen is crisp. The SSD drive and battery are replaceable. The only cons I can think of are the keyboard, which doesn't provide a lot of feedback, and the case material which makes fingerprints very visible on the blue model. But these are small complaints. I use mine everyday and really enjoy it.

It is a very nice machine. I put ubuntu on it. With installation of tlp, the battery last 7 to 8 hours.

i am a heavy user of adobe AI, ID and PS. while having all three open with decent sized projects and music playing this thing crushed it. I am very very impressed. sharp screen, good mouse pad, keyboard is ok took a little getting used to. Only thing i thats bugs me is heating on this is awful (still stays below 80c), needs more vents.im pretty blown away.Update: I was testing this and the zenbook pro out and the same time and ended up keeping this. In the adobe apps and in general the zenbook 3 seems to be quicker / the same all around to the zenpro. i am not gaming on this. I have a different dongle with the screen extended to a larger screen. works great. As far as temps i have it on a fan surface and it has brought the temps down by 10 degrees. so definitely worth the 20 bucks for it.

Great computer except for the power chord. Asus needs to design a slimmer device that has plug prongs that tuck in like their competition. The present plug spoils the portability of the small laptop.

Client loves it, I think it's a tad overpriced for IGP in my opinion but whatever.They got the pretty "Macbook air" looking laptop that "isn't an acer" and "runs windows".

Fancy laptop, but a year later it turns off at random. Fingerprint scanner started working only a few months ago.Update: called customer service right after leaving the review and their customer service was second to none! They fixed the problem over the phone and did not even as ask for warranty information. They legitimately wanted to fix their product. It was wonderful!

After about 4 weeks a black vertical bar appeared covering about a third of my screen. I have been taking care of this laptop like a baby so I think I got unlucky with my particular product (quality control should have weeded this one out). I believe my graphics has died and I am looking to send it to ASUS to see if they can repair it.

This laptop has been great. I hear a lot of people and college students talk about having a Mac, but despite having an iPhone I never thought that Apple was the way to go for a laptop. I have seen several other people have this same laptop and after having mine for a little over two years, it is still working great. The only thing that has gone "wrong" with it is that the laptop charger eventually stopped working, which had to do more from the way I stored it away.Overall, this laptop has great graphics, speed, and other perks that make it a perfect general laptop for any purpose.

Pros: This laptop is extremely lightweight and portable. Stylish and rapid power on. The machine doesn't spin for hours during power up or down. CONS: This machine needs a light up keyboard or LED light for work in dark environments. As I write this, I have pulled the screen close to the keyboard to cast light on the keys. I have experienced several occasions when the laptop did not respond to the on-button. Tech support said I need to "dissipate charge" (complete BS) and hold the power button for 30 seconds to power on. I have also experienced a sensitive cable connection where the laptop powers off when I adjust the screen position. I hope this doesn't mean more problems are coming. Overall, I like it give other alternative models.

Expensive computer. Works very fast. Will take some time to get used to its touch pad as it is very sensitive.

Beautiful laptop, but has some hardware/software flaws.- Fans are almost always on- Ubuntu support is iffy. Audio distorts. Requires modification to some system files. Audio to headphones sometimes doesn't work.

I love the size of it. Its very light. It feels more like a tablet rather than a computerHowever, the keyboard is very difficult to work with.I use my laptop to write papers and unfortunately i have a very hard time with the keyboard. Especially the space bar. It is getting very frustrating.Considering buying another laptop.
