Let me start off by saying I've played competitive PC games for over 15 years. I have a custom built desktop at home but decided i wanted to somehow bring my gaming with me when I'm traveling. This laptop checked off every box for me. I wanted a laptop that would give me the best competitive edge compared to the rest, but i didn't want something that weighed 10+ LBs. I also didn't want too much of the gamer look as well. This laptop is truly stunning on the outside and in. The build quality is exceptional for how thin it is. I also appreciate the ventilation and cooling system. ROG Game Center lets your customize the fan speed and accommodate how you are using the laptop. I was playing PubG over 100 FPS, Overwatch 250+ and WoW 100+. I can't stress enough how Asus knocked this one out of the park! 6.5 LBs i believe of pure gamer fury. 144hz display with a 3ms response time is phenomenal! Most gaming laptops last year were 120hz 3ms with 1070 Max-Q GPUS (under clocked for better battery). This is a full 1070, with a 6 core i7, expandable memory and tons of storage! I am extremely happy with my purchase and will update if i run into any cons..PS- if anyone complains about battery life, you're not looking for the right computer. If you want good gaming performance but want exceptional battery, look at the Aero 15X by gigabyte. I still get 3 hours of browsing from this laptop with fans on silent. I use this with a laptop cooling fan, and a nice wired razor mouse.MUST BUY FOR FPS LOVERS AND COMPETITIVE GAMERS WHO TRAVEL

This computer is hands down the best laptop I've ever used. The display is very color accurate and pretty, but it's mind-blowing fast. Gaming with refresh rates this high not only gives an advantage, but I've found it to be easier on the eyes for long gaming sessions. The 1070 Max-Q GPU is extremely stout for a laptop. It does run warm whenever under a lot of load (75 C), but I'm yet to see it throttle. When it does get warm though the fans go into overboost and cool it back down quickly. They are audible very slightly in balanced mode, a bit noisy in overboost, but extremely quiet in silent. The computer runs fast, quiet, and very smooth. The only upgrade I see myself purchasing is an extra 16 gb stick of ram to supplement the current one. I have only one "complaint" with this whole computer. I knew this going into it, but any PC with components like these and a display with G-Sync battery life is gonna be bad, but be ready to keep the charger nearby. I get close to 3 hours with the brightness at 50% and no audio. That's just being on the web and streaming netflix through a wireless headset. Gaming is closer to the 2 hour mark. Aside from this though, I don't believe there's a better gaming laptop out there under $2,000 dollars.

Best laptop I have ever purchased. Desktop gaming inside of a laptop. I am even able to stream on it without it working too hard. The fan has an overdrive option which keeps GPU and CPU under 60 degrees. Amazing all around!

The laptop is awesome, amazing gaming machine...it was little over the budget in the beginning but its totally worth every penny..Looks kinda bulky but very light weighted..Cool carbon fiber finish palmrest and rgb keyboard..

This laptop is AMAZING. No regrets going over budget to buy this because the specs are incredible for a price that rivals similarly spec'd desktops! The display is awesome, beautiful, bright, blew me away and this thing is just so fast. Games on High/Epic no problem and the fans work great to keep it all cool as the keyboard never feels hot! Also, I was surprised just how slim it is. In my opinion, the pictures make it look thick on the bottom but its really a sleek, slim machine. Incredible all around, if anything changes I'll let you know.

I had another ROG before this one. This one is much lighter and thinner and has so much more power behind it. I haven't have any issues with it and it's been able to run anything I've thrown at it. It didn't come with a lot of bloatware either which is nice. Manged to get this during a tax holiday as well, so the value is pretty good. I couldn't say for battery life as I've only had it plugged in.

I upgraded the RAM to 32G with adding another identical Hynix memory module. The SSD was upgraded to a 1TB Samsung PM981. It is the best gaming notebook we have so far. The notebook have been run for a week without any problem.Pros: Fast performance, 5-8 seconds boot up and shut down times. Best screen, full GTX1070 (not MaxQ). Running stable.Cons: Big screen bezel, no TB. Screen open upto 145 degrees only. Apart from cooling fans, the 2.5" SATA HDD is the only component has moving part inside. These are all aceptable to me, not big deals.Recommendation to Asus: The 2.5" 5400rpm SATA HDD should be replaced by a M.2 drive or replaced by an empty M.2 slot for future upgrade. This will save the space for a bigger capacity of battery or something else more useful.

Also check after receiving for a functioning screen and ports. It is shipped from Illinois so farther you are double check if it was damaged during the delivery.Otherwise a stellar laptop with producing a great image. I play mostly Monster Hunter World, Skyrim, and Witcher 3. This laptop is definitely worth it.If anything does happen I'll edit this review but so far I do recommend this laptop.

I love my new gaming laptop it can do everything I want of it and more. Yes the fans can get a little loud but when i am zoned out playing my games with my earbuds in I don't even notice the sound. I did buy a 5 fan cooling pad to help with heat, this is because I care about treating my new little baby right and NOT because of any heating issues; so far temps have stayed in more than acceptable ranges. Just to give you an idea what type of games I play, I play fallout 4 and down to minecraft; I also watch videos and do very very minor programming on it. I would like to add more ram to it next year but the 16 gigs I have right now is more than enough for my needs. I LOVVVE love the NVIDIA 1070 with 8 gigs and I don't feel that I will need to upgrade the video for years to come. Yes i said years. The graphics are so smooth and the colors vibrant it is so great to be able to play all my games with no hesitation or feeling like everything is in slow motion or dark and grainy that I would miss things because of lack of detail.With the NVIDIA 1070 I see everything now and it is amazing! I try to get a computer about every 6 years and make sure it has what it needs to keep up with the ever changing OS and gaming requirement. As to sound, well for me that is not high on what i care about. The sound on this pc works just fine. Just to finish letting you know what my laptop has (because the CPU is very important) I have the i7H coffee lake and this baby rocks!

I needed to replace a 10 year old failing laptop, that was primarily used for video and photo editing, and secondary for routine home use. As full time RVers, we needed quality that could be counted on to work on the road. Because we needed a good graphics capability, it quickly became obvious that in this day and age, the best graphics came with "gaming" computers. Let me be clear: We are NOT gamers. That said, I searched and searched for a good graphics system, and there just aren't that many good ones out there for under $2500. Most good editing machines are over $5000, so a gaming machine was the next best idea. After reviewing several online, and visiting a couple of big box stores to look and feel, I decided on this machine. And I love it!! The speed and graphics are amazing. Photo editing is a snap, and video editing is quick and neat. Fantastic resolution on everything.The only negative is the keyboard. I don't care for the feel of the keys, and the number pad is difficult to work with. The keys are smaller than on my last machine....Other than that, this is a great machine and works very well for our needs!!

So far I have not had any issues out of this laptop. Only thing that upsets me is the fact that Amazon advertizes the laptop with a free game and yet when you get the laptop set up and get the promplt to redeem it ASUS says you are inelligeble.

This Gaming Laptop is simply phenomenal... I bought mine used (in excellent condition) for $1600 and I can say without a doubt that it was worth every penny. This laptop has plenty of room for expansion w/ hard drives & memory. The 17" 144hz IPS 3ms display is absolutely fantastic and you'll see a big difference if you're coming from a TN style panel.The GTX 1070 runs just about anything I throw at it @ 1080p on max settings. Although not mechanical, the keyboard still feels nice and responsive for a laptop. The built-in speakers sound good as well. One thing I'd recommend is purchasing a Laptop Cooling Pad because without one, this thing will get pretty darn hot during extensive gaming.All-in-all, I HIGHLY recommend this product for anyone who wants a powerful Gaming Laptop on-the-go at a very competitive price point!

With a larger screen and a higher refresh rate than the average laptop, it meets almost all gaming fluid configuration requirements and is a great FPS gaming laptop

Gaming laptops are kinda in a league of their own. Yes battery life isnt thst great, not is performance while on battery power, but when it's on AC, this thing fires on all cylinders. Runs anything I throw at it, no questions asked, great laptop!!

Runs as advertised and as I was expected - fast, screen quality is awesome, no crashes so far, but only own it for a week

I was battling with choice, GTX1070 MaxQ vs RTX2060/70. I eventually settled on the 2060, perfect balance for my level of gaming and usage. I use the notebook as my daily for work as well, toned down the RGB to our company colours and it flies through everything I give it to do. my GTX970 notebook lasted 5 years, I can believe this will at least do for another 2-4

The specs of the laptop is what it is. Go google and YouTube to see reviews on its performance to see if it suits you. What I?ll share is my buying experience from Amazon and Mobile Advance and I am happy to say it has been great. The laptop arrived early, new and pristine as ordered (duh..) and works without any issue. The after service from Mobile Advance is fantastic as they bother checking-in and touching base with you after the product delivery. No complaints here and I?ll recommend you to buy from Amazon and Mobile Advance.

Very good laptop for gaming / traveling.

The laptop is great its fast and works like a champ.I did swap out the standard 1tb 7k drive with an 800g ssd was extremely easy.My only negative was the laptop was extremely noisy when it was under heavy gaming load. I actually reduced the noise and heat significantly by just throttling the cpu to a max of 95%.

very good laptop, i got two pieces from it and it came without single issue. only one thing :( why no free games are coming with such expensive laptop.

This laptop is amazing fast for all kinds of task it plays games with smooth Grace no lag really good at WiFi the baddest thing about the laptop to me is that the fans make a lot of noises

This thing works like a charm. It was easy to set up, and games work very nicely. I get about 120+ on most games at max settings.There are only two things I don't like:1. There should be more memory. If you plan on getting lots of games or have a lot of files for work, it could fill somewhat fast. In some cases, I recommend an external hard drive.2. Not all games support RTX graphics. Not all games have been updated to support RTX graphics. I've seen it in a few games where it there would be about 20 less frames then normal. Not too much of a problem though, as developers will most likely add support soon enough. You just have to wait a little bit.

This is my third Asus gaming laptop and so far I love it. It seems to have all the power I expected of it and the aesthetics are a lovely upgrade for me. This is just my out-of-the-box impression, and I'll be putting it through the paces on some VR games soon so I may be updating this review soon!
