Apple's Karnataka production plan will boost jobs, says Deshpande
The Karnataka government has offered its support to Apple in setting up a manufacturing unit in the state as it would boost investment and create jobs. "There are some issues with Government of India and that has not been resolved. We have assured them of full support and cooperation. We are working with them,” said Karnataka industry minister R V Deshpande.

Apple disputes report that it reduced Face ID accuracy to hasten production
In the light of Bloomberg News’ report on the reduced accuracy of Face ID in Apple’s soon to be released iPhone X, the Cupertino-based company issued a statement disputing the claims.

The Face ID system - among the $999 (roughly Rs. 65,000) iPhone X's most talked-about features - uses a mathematical model of users' faces to allow them to sign on to their phones or pay for goods with a steady glance at their phones. Bloomberg's report, which cited sources close to people familiar with the situation, said Apple relaxed some of the technical specifications for sensors for the Face ID system, making it faster to test the parts.

In a statement to Reuters, Apple said "Bloomberg's claim that Apple has reduced the accuracy spec for Face ID is completely false.” For its part, a Bloomberg spokeswoman said the company stood behind its report.

Netflix's over 23,000 hidden categories now available in one place
Netflix has a host of categories which show up from time to time depending on what you watch. Sadly there’s no way to access all of them at any given time. That is of course, until now. finder.com has a complete list of every Netflix genre in excess of 23,000. Though the term genre is used rather loosely in this case as it includes tags or descriptions relevant to a specific movie, TV show, or documentary. Examples include Movies starring Angelina Jolie and Absurd French-Language Comedies. Keep in mind that the site takes a while to load, so you might want to try its Chrome extension instead that loads faster.

Facebook Workplace takes on Slack and Microsoft Teams with new features
Facebook’s Workplace Chat app is now out of beta and is available on Windows and macOS in addition to Android and iOS. With the desktop variant, the company has introduced screen sharing and file sharing features. Also, organisations can use message reactions, @mentions, and GIFs, much like the app it’s trying to ape, Slack. But Slack isn’t the only app Facebook is looking to seek inspiration from, video group chat which debuted with Microsoft Teams is also present.

"These design updates are based on feedback from customers and make it easier to connect and navigate on Workplace," Julien Codorniou, VP of Workplace, wrote in a blog post.
