Recently after launching a new 3G sharing plan, Airtel has now announced a new prepaid hotspot service called WiFi Hangout. The service that is currently available in select cities namely Mumbai, Bangalore and the NCR allows prepaid users to enjoy a broadband Internet experience anywhere on their Wi-Fi enabled devices such as Laptop, tablet or mobile.

The Airtel WiFi Hangout plans begin at Rs.20 for 30 min, Rs.30 for 60 min and Rs.50 for 120 min of unlimited usage. To avail the service, users will have to choose a city and locate their nearest Airtel public Wi-Fi hotspot. Users can then select "Airtel WiFi zone", activate the voucher with the said prepaid plans and simply start browsing after logging in.

Users must note that in order to use the service, they'll have to purchase a Wi-Fi plan Voucher based on their usage from Airtel store or online. There are no details regarding what speed Airtel will provide but we assume they'll be pretty decent.

A few days ago Airtel introduced a new 3G data plan for its users that allows one person to share unlimited data usage amongst two of their friends or family members or three of his/her own devices. This Data Share Plan is open to all Airtel prepaid and postpaid subscribers provided that all the three connections belong to the same telecom circle.
