Apple's iPad may soon get a new member in the family. Or two, depending upon who you believe.

A photograph that leaked over the internet shows a prototype of an iPad that could be seems like the iPad mini 2. The back panel of the prototype looks a lot like the iPad mini hence the probability that the device could be the successor to Apple's 7.9-inch tablet seems high. A look at the prototype reveals a slightly altered camera placement from its predecessor. No other information seems apparent from what we see in the photograph.

Along with images of the probable iPad mini prototype, images of what seems to be a cover for the next gen full-size iPad were also spotted on the Internet. The cover hints at a thinner bezel for the fifth-generation iPad, something that we have heard of earlier as well. The slightly altered camera placement seen in the previous prototype continues to be seen on this cover as well. Along with that, there is a small hole on the back at the top for what could probably be a rear microphone.

According to another report on ETNews, Samsung Display is to supply 7.9-inch Retina display with 2048x1536 resolution and 9.7-inch narrow bezel Retina display to Apple from the 3rd and 4th quarters, respectively. These displays clearly are expected to be used for the Apple iPad mini 2 and fifth gen iPad 5 respectively.

Previous reports also suggest that the company could also be working on a large screen iPad dubbed as the iPad Maxi. It is also rumoured that the Cupertino giant might also be working on a thinner bezel for the next generation iPhone.
