Huawei is all set to launch its first budget tablet in the Indian market. Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite was announced way back in July and it is now up for pre-order on Flipkart.com for Rs. 13,700.

Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite packs a 7-inch display with 1024x600p resolution and a 1.2GHz processor. There is a 3.2 megapixel rear camera, and 0.3 megapixel front camera. MediaPad7 Lite has 1GB RAM, 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by 32 GB. This tablet has a 4100 mAh battery and runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

According to Flipkart.com this tablet will be available in the fourth week of October, which means it should be ready to ship any time now.

Over the past few months, the competition in the tablet space has increased many folds, and there are plenty of 7-inch tablets from Indian manufacturers. For example the Micromax Funbook has almost the same specs as the Huawei MediaPad7 Lite and its current street price is between Rs. 6,499 to Rs. 6,990.
