Asus MeMo Pad Smart 10 has been in the news off late, with a launch
expected at the forthcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC). This device was
unveiled at the Thailand Mobile Expo where it was touted as one of the
affordable 10-inch tablets with Android Jelly Bean on-board. Now an
official promo video of this device has been posted on YouTube.
As per
the video, Asus MeMo Pad Smart 10 sports a 10.1-inch WXGA screen. It is
powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor with 1 GB of RAM.
Internal storage available on the tablet is 16GB and it also comes with a
microSD card slot. Users will have access to 5GB of lifetime cloud
storage courtesy Asus WebStorage.
For camera, there is a
5-megapixel rear shooter on board and a 1.2-megapixel front camera as
well. The Taiwanese company has not shared the launch date for this
device but it is expected to retail for $299 in black, white and pink
colour options.
Asus MeMo Pad Smart 10 comes pre-installed with
various apps seen on its 7-inch counterpart like SuperNote Lite, Asus
WebStorage Office, Asus Studio, App Locker and App Backup. Connectivity
options on the tablet include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, Micro-USB 2.0 and
micro HDMI.
Asus is likely to offer Folio Key (a wrap-around
protective cover with a Bluetooth keyboard) for an additional cost along
with this tablet. The price of the Folio Key has not been disclosed as
of yet.
As the Taiwanese company prepares for MWC, it had also
posted a teaser video a day ago that talks about 'ultimate
craftsmanship' and 'metallic miracle'. As per the grapevine, Asus is
likely to launch upgraded version of the PadFone and a 7-inch tablet
running on Intel Atom Z2420 processor at MWC.
