An LG executive recently dropped a hint about the LG G3's successor, saying that the G4 will see the company experimenting with something new. Now, more details about the handset have surfaced on the Internet.

TechManiacs reports its sources claim that LG's next flagship handset will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (a 64-bit octa-core SoC). If this turns out to be true, then the G4 will be the second smartphone from LG's stables to be powered by the new Qualcomm chipset, while the first is the LG G Flex2.

The report suggests that the handset will feature a Quad-HD display while the screen size may be 5.3-inch. Notably, the LG G3 sports a 5.5-inch AH-IPS LCD QHD (1440x2560 pixel) display with a staggering pixel density of 538ppi. The report also claims that the G4 will include 3GB of RAM.

Additionally, the report cites evidence from a leaked LG G4 Android 5.0 Lollipop dump that shows details about the rear camera. The leaked dump suggests that the G4's camera can click pictures of up to 5312x2988 pixels resolution, pointing to a 16-megapixel camera - a significant upgrade to the 13-megapixel camera on the LG G3.

LG kicked off its year with the launch G Flex2, which recently went up for pre-orders at EUR 599 (approximately Rs. 44,100) in Germany via a third-party online retailer, inclusive of VAT.

The single-SIM LG G Flex2 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and features a 5.5-inch full-HD curved P-OLED display with a 1080x1920 pixels resolution and a 403ppi pixel density. The LG G Flex2's display has a 700mm-radius curvature, while the back is slightly sharper with a 650mm-radius curvature for grip.
