Xiaomi's budget 4G-enabled smartphone, the Redmi Note 4G, went on its third flash sale on Flipkart in India on Tuesday, and this time it just took just 2 minutes 50 seconds for 50,000 units to be listed as 'out of stock'. The company posted the latest flash sale figures on Twitter via its Mi India Official handle.

The second flash sale saw 50,000 units of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G going out of stock in just 5 seconds while the first saw 40,000 units of the smartphone going out of stock within six seconds of becoming available. The slow speed of this flash sale could be attributed to the simultaneous flash sale of Micromax's Yu Yureka on Amazon.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G went on its third flash sale at 2pm IST on Tuesday via Flipkart, and was priced at Rs. 9,999. The Flipkart page for Mi phones notes that the next flash sale for the Redmi Note 4G is on January 20 and the registrations for the sale will start 6pm IST on Tuesday.

Notably, Xiaomi and Flipkart, the exclusive online partner of Xiaomi in India, are holding two flash sales for the budget Redmi 1S smartphone and LTE-enabled Redmi Note 4G on the same day. The second flash sale on Tuesday for the Xiaomi Redmi 1S will start at 5pm IST for registered users.

The Flipkart page also notes that 50,000 Redmi 1S units will be available to buy in Tuesday's flash sale that starts in some time.

Featuring single-SIM support, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with MIUI v5 skin on top. During the launch in India, Xiaomi had indicated that updates to Android 5 Lollipop will be available in the future, but provided no time frame.

The smartphone is powered by a quad-core 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM. Other specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G are similar to the Redmi Note (3G), which includes a 5.5-inch 720x1280-pixel IPS LCD display; a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash; a 5-megapixel front-facing camera; 8GB built-in storage with microSD card expansion (up to 64GB), and a 3,100mAh battery with support for fast charging.
