Tech Deals of the Week: Moto X (Gen 2), Huawei Honor 6, TVs, Home Theatres, and More

This week in Tech Deals of the Week we have some great deals in audio and video. Enhance your home movie-viewing experience with home theatre systems from JBL and Philips at a discount, switch your boring old TVs with brand new 40-inch Full HD LED TVs, and even more!

1. JBL BD100 Blu-ray Home Theatre System
Croma Retail is selling the JBL BD100 Blu-ray home theatre system at the discounted price of Rs. 15,594. The system is available on other online retailers for around Rs. 19,990. The JBL BD-100 is capable of playing 3D movies, and comes with a 5.1 channel speaker system. It also includes support for Bluetooth connectivity, which can be used to transfer media files from different devices. The BD100 features 6 channels, with a rating of 50W per channel. The system comes with 4 satellite speakers, 1 centre speaker, 1 passive subwoofer, and a passive radiator. The JBL BD100 includes an HDMI v1.4 as an output option with an audio return channel. The home theatre system also includes an FM tunes, DLNA support, and support for apps like YouTube and Picasa. JBL also has mobile apps on Android and iOS to control the home theatre system. At its current price, the JBL BD100 is completely worth it.

2. Exchange Offers On Moto X (Gen 2) and Huawei Honor 6
Flipkart is now running exchange offers on the Moto X (Gen 2) and Huawei Honor 6. If you swap your old smartphone for a brand new Moto X (Gen 2) you can get a discount of up to Rs. 6,000 on the selling price. The discount is applied instantly when you enter the details of your old phone that you're looking to exchange. The 2nd generation Moto X comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display, and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC, supported by 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal memory on board, and runs Android 4.4.4 right out of the box.

You can also swap your old mobile phone for a discount up to Rs. 4000 on a brand new Huawei Honor 6. Flipkart is also giving away selected e-books worth Rs. 1,799 along with a free screen guard along with the Honor 6. The Huawei Honor 6 features a 5-inch Full HD display, and runs on a 1.7GHz Octa-core processor supported by 3GB of RAM. Just like the Moto X, it also runs Android 4.4 right out of the box. There's a 13MP primary camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera on the Honor 6. At an effective price of Rs. 15,999 it's a pretty good deal.

3. 40-inch Budget LED TVs At A Discount!
Missed the Diwali sale on TVs? Flipkart still has some decent prices on 40-inch LED TVs in case you're looking to buy one. There's even more incentive to throw away your TV for an exchange offer. You can get a discount of up to Rs. 5,000 flat in case you're willing to exchange your old TV for new VU 40-inch Full HD LED TV. The TV is available for Rs. 26,990 without exchange, and would cost Rs. 21,990 with exchange. The discount for an exchange is applied instantly, and the old TV will be taken from your place by Flipkart themselves.

If you're looking for a budget TV in the 40-inch LED segment, the Micromax 40-inch Full HD LED TV is available for Rs. 23,500 (regular Rs. 34,990) on Flipkart this week. The exchange price on the TV is around Rs. 19,500, which makes it a really sweet deal. The Micromax 40-inch LED TV includes support for two HDMI slots, and one USB port. Flipkart also helps with setting up an installation appointment with the company's service technicians.

4. HP 21.5-inch IPS LED Monitor
Amazon is selling the HP 22FI IPS LED Monitor at a discounted price of Rs. 8,945 (MRP Rs. 12,500) this week. The monitor features a display resolution of 1920x1080 pixels on an IPS LED backlit panel. The sleek monitor can make a great primary display, or a secondary display in case you need one. The monitor ships with HDMI and VGA cables for connectivity, and comes with the standard 3-year manufacturer warranty. If you're looking to add a full HD monitor to your workstation setup, the HP 22FI LED monitor is a great choice!

5. JBL Charge Shadow Wireless Portable Speaker
Amazon is selling the JBL Charge Shadow portable speaker for Rs. 4,605 this week. Snapdeal is selling the same speaker for around Rs. 5,200. The JBL Charge Shadow portable speaker comes with a 6,000 mAh rechargeable battery which can also be used to charge your own devices. The speaker comes with Bluetooth connectivity support, and promises a full-range JBL sound. JBL also claims a playback time of around 12 hours on a single charge. A built-in bass port, and 38mm drivers ensure a great sound from these tiny speakers.

6. DigiFlip Mega Sale At Flipkart
DigiFlip is Flipkart's own brand of electronics and accessories. Flipkart is now offering discounts up to 60% on DigiFlip products this week. You can grab the DigiFlip wireless optical mouse for Rs. 419 (regular Rs. 600), or the DigiFlip Wires Mini USB speakers for Rs. 399 (regular Rs. 600). The DigiFlip Power Bank 8800 mAh external power bank is now selling at a discount of 40% for Rs. 1,079. There are a bunch of other products available on the sale including a gaming USB mouse, headphones, Bluetooth-enabled speakers, and more. DigiFlip accessories may not be the best quality products out there in terms of finish, but they're a decent add-on as a secondary product, or a backup for a limited period.

7. Sony SBH80 Stereo Wireless Headset
The Sony SBH80 Stereo Wireless headset is now available for Rs. 6,599 On eBay India. The lightweight wireless headset can be great if you're looking for headphones compatible with your workout regime. The headphones are splash-proof so you really don't need to worry about sweat or a bit of splash during the rains. The headset can be worn around the neck, and can be easily paired with any Bluetooth capable smartphone. The Sony SBH80 headset also comes with dual microphones, allowing users to take up calls while using them. It also comes with NFC support. The eBay listing is from a Power Seller with great ratings, and the product ships via COD (cash on delivery) too.

8. Philips HTD5550/94 Home Theatre System
Amazon is selling the Philips HTD5550/94 home theatre system for Rs. 12,244 this week, that's way sweeter than the usual price of Rs. 17,990. Other online retailers are currently selling the same unit for around Rs. 16,000-18,000. The Philips HTD5550/94 home theatre system comes with 5.1 channel speaker system, with 3D Angled speakers that can disperse sound evenly across an area. The system can play DVDs, VCDs, CDs, and comes with a USB port too. The system is compatible with a wireless rear audio which can be used to add additional speakers at the rear end of the room. It also comes with built-in DTS and Dolby Digital decoder with support for Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound. At its current price, it's a decent home theatre system in case you're looking to enhance your home movie-viewing experience.
