Xolo has launched a new Q-series smartphone, the Q1020, priced at Rs. 11,499. The company on Monday announced the launch of the Xolo Q1020 via a Facebook post.

The smartphone is now listed on the company's website; however, there is no official word yet about the availability of the Xolo Q1020.

One of the most notable features of the Xolo Q1020 is that it sports a wooden finish at the sides. It also features HotKnot file transfer technology, which is similar to near field communications (NFC) in terms of application. MediaTek had back in March announced the proximity pairing technology.

The Android 4.4 KitKat-based Xolo Q1020 supports dual-SIM (GSM+GSM). The Xolo Q1020 features a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD IPS display with Scratch Resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor that's coupled with a Mali 450 GPU, and 1GB of RAM.

The Xolo Q1020 bears 8GB of built-in storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor, LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Xolo Q1020's rear camera features scene detection, Panaroma, geo-tagging, best shot, smile shot, and HDR options.

Connectivity options on the Xolo Q1020 include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio. It is powered by a 2100mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 13 hours (approximately) of talk time on 3G and up to 454 hours of standby time on 2G. It is available in Black and White colours.
