A Google-signed apk of the anticipated Material Design revamp of the Gmail app for Android, Gmail 5.0, with support for multiple accounts, has been leaked ahead of the official roll-out.

We had recently heard about the revamped Gmail 5.0 app for Android in a report, after a test build was leaked. The report had speculated the new Gmail v5.0 app for Android will roll out alongside the public release of Android 5.0 Lollipop in early November, but Android Police has already got its hands on at the Google-signed apk.

Along with the expected 'Material Design' theme in the revamped Gmail v5.0 app, Google as expected appears to have incorporated support for corporate/exchange accounts, according to Android Police. Users will be able to add accounts from other IMAP/POP services, such as Yahoo, Outlook, AOL Mail and more, apart from their Gmail accounts.

The new Gmail 5.0 app sports a revamped interface (as seen in a previously leaked video) with a new round compose button at the bottom of the currently open mailbox, a new send button, a new accounts menu, and new circular avatars for contacts, apart from new iconography.

The Android Police team has provided the Google-signed apk that will upgrade the existing Gmail app when installed, but to enable Exchange support users will need to install the upgraded Exchange apk (6.5-1520254) provided by the team.

In August, Google had added a new feature to its Gmail Web-interface, bringing a new Hangouts tab that allows users to see which of their contacts are online first before offline contacts, and users could also pin a contact to the top of the list.
