Gamers waiting to don the PC avatar of Connor, the lead protagonist in Assassin's Creed III, will have to wait till November 23.

While the console version is set for a release on October 31, Ubisoft has confirmed that the PC version of the game will be delayed by about a month. The open-world game will hit store shelves in the US on November 20 while UK gamers can expect the game on November 23.

A Wii U version for the game is also expected, following the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions.

Ubisoft has been known for delaying Assassin's Creed games in the past. The first game was delayed by 5 months post its launch for consoles. Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood arrived four months later, while last year's Revelations launched just a month after.

Ubisoft Montreal and six collaborating studios are building Assassin's Creed III on a new engine called Ubisoft-AnvilNext.

Assassin's creed III is set in colonial America with the Assassin-Templar war entering the American Revolution. As Desmond Miles, you now control Connor Kenway who is half English and half Mohawk. Popular historical figures and cities make an appearance like George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Boston and New York.
