  • Brand Name Carrying This phone on its Shoulder
Swapnil Kolhe (Jun 1, 2014) on Gadgets 360
This is My Sister's Phone.I was around this phone many times..and discovered many pros and cons of this phone... There are more available options in This price range.Micromax Canvas Turbo A250 Beats this phones. Anyways Here is the review .. A midrange device from Samsung after the hugely successful Galaxy Grand .. Powered by quadcore Qualcomm MSM8625Q Snapdragon 200 chipset clocked at 1.2 gHz which is based on the old Cortex A5 architecture and hence the CPU isn?t that powerful to handle heavy apps.. The device is powered by Adreno 203 GPU which isnt quite suitable for graphic intensive gaming. Its coupled with 1 Gb of RAM for Multitasking. The device has a 4.7 inch WVGA display 480 x 800 pixels, resolution? and comes with a user replaceable 2000mAH Li-ion battery which on a moderate usage can last through the day Looks premium.. Camera is a 5 MP shooter with LED flash which does a decent jobs on natural lights. However low light images aren?t that good and appear to be washed out? The device runs on Jellybean, 4.1.2 version of Android ie and seems highly unlikely that it will receive any further software upgrades Benchmark scores: AnTuTu: 11236 Nenamark 42.1 fps Quadrant:4777 Pros: Premium looks Quad core phone at Mid Range price Decent Camera Cons: Slow and sluggish performance High end games don?t run properly

  • performance ok but 2 major disadvantages
JYOTI LUTHRA (Jun 1, 2014) on Gadgets 360
I have been using this phone from 8months. Processor and ram are excellent. Does not hang and if it does automatically start up without any hazards. But major disadvantages are : 1. Battery life very less. If you r 3g user you have to cahrge your phone at least twice a day. 2. It heats up too much.

  • Decent performer with a quadcore processor
Abin Baby (May 14, 2014) on Gadgets 360
This phone comes with a 4.7 inch 480x800 p screen .Inside ,it has a 1.2 ghz cortex-A5 processor with adreno 203 GPU along with 1 GB RAM.It has Android , v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) .Still i no update has arrived :-(.On the performance side ,this phone handle almost everything well.Top end games are the only thing this phone has a little trouble with.Battery life is is pretty decent with Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery.normal users can get a day full of battery life from it. This phone has 8 Gb internal storage and it can be expanded upto 32 GB via microsd card.As far as camera is concerned it has 5MP cam along with an led flash.it also got a sluggish front facing camera.Video recording is limited to 480p This phone perform well for normal apps and when its come to photography it is disappointing as the image quality is bad as compared to other 5 mp cams.i recommend this phone to normal users as it is a mid-range phone

For a "mid-range" price of Rs 16.5K, this phone offers (reviews form my brother) :- > A 4.7 inches (Big) screen > 480x800 pix WVGA TFT display (which is quite awesome and crystal clear) > A 1.2 GHz "QUAD Core" processor (better than most phones in its range) > A 1 GB RAM (again better than most phones in its range) > An 8 GB internal memory ((again better than most phones in its range) > With a 16 GB Free Micro SD card (Offer on Flipkart) > A 5 MPxl cam and 0.3 Mpxl front cam (he says is enough for him) > It records Videos in HD (720x1280) at 15 fps > A 2000 mAh Battery that easily lasts more than a day. (One day as of now cos of heavy "Exploring" usage :P) > Its a Dual Sim phone!!! (now he has less to worry about his multiple Gi..*ahmm* Contacts) > The stock earphones are great. (he is a music buff) > Great Build Quality > Comes with the Brand "SAMSUNG" (this DOES matter) > Is considered a smaller version of Galaxy Grand but to be honest, "It looks and feels Better, Sleeker & Trendier than Grand" > Runs Android Jelly Bean. Haven't experienced any kind of lag.
