The Smithsonian's Barcode of Life project gets $3 million to use DNA barcoding to protect endangered species.
Additional
grantees include GiveDirectly, Equal Opportunity Schools and the Geena
Davis Institute on Gender in Media. Google says innovation is
underfunded among nonprofits.
